Hi All
There is a proposal for a ferry to Phillip island from the state government .
Locals have a lot of concerns for the current location Cowes as its a swimming beach.
I have been exploring ideas and different locations for the proposed Ferry and trying to respond at local concerns.
I have designed this as a new idea to consider a different location called Rhyll on Phillip island
Maybe be can borrow ideas for this design if its not too late.
Considering the Sensitivity side, It seems to be a good location as it's on the east side of the island where waters have existing boating corridors and can sustain very low impact to the environment on the foreshores of Rhyll.
The East Side mangrove seem to be a good natural defence for boating.

The existing Public spaces of Rhyll foreshore frequently changes it’s programs.
Rhyll stages Friday Night Markets and club events and festivals.
The design proposed explores large opens spaces that can change its use when Car Ferry is & is not in use.

This is a great existing infrastructure that can play a roll in unnecessary influx of cars pouring into Cowes
who are just passing through other parts of the island or off.

Transport to the Penguin Parade, Phillip Island - 10 (Ten) Easy Steps
HERE’S 10 EASY STEPS TO SEE THE PENGUINS ON PHILLIP ISLAND, VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA.
STEP 1 – Make sure you book at least one night accommodation on Phillip Island to see the magnificent penguin parade and the island’s many other attractions and spectacular scenery. visitphillipisland.com.au
STEP 2 - Fly into Melbourne (Tullamarine) Airport
STEP 3 - Collect your baggage and use the SkyBus to take you direct into the city
STEP 4 - The Sky bus will take you to Southern Cross Station, right in the heart of Melbourne CBD.
STEP 5 - If you’re staying in Melbourne - walk, tram or taxi from Southern Cross to your city accommodation.
STEP 6 - If you’re travelling to Phillip Island - catch the regular ‘V/line’ bus service from Southern Cross Station to Phillip Island (Cowes). You don’t need to pre-book – just purchase your ticket from the Service desk!

STEP 7 - Arrive and check in to your accommodation. And if you haven't done so - Book the nightly Nobbies/Penguins Tour with Phillip Island Designated Driver.
STEP 8 - After a drive and walk at the Nobbies, get dropped off at the world famous penguin parade and see the penguins
STEP 9 - Be picked up after the Penguin Parade and return to your accommodation
STEP 10 - Enjoy the next morning (or days) on Phillip Island before returning to Melbourne by bus.

Hi, I have been out and about. So I was at the Pinnacles in Cape Woolamai, Phillip Island, Victoria, Australia.
A gentle stroll on the beach and a short hike will take you to the Pinnacles (of ancient granite rock). On the way to the pinnacles, you may meet some wallabies and a kangaroo. As you stop to enjoy a breath of fresh air and the caress of the sea breeze and as your eyes scan the vast coastline, the grassland and the clouds above - SMILE! Our Heavenly Father is so happy for you.
As you enjoy the seascape, the ancient rock formations, and the birds that keep you company.........waiting for the sun to set with a display of spectacular colours and the countless shiny stars dancing in the water - please enjoy every moment with tender heart and humble mind.

Created in 1996, the park is owned by the Victorian State Government, however it is a self-funding commercial attraction for the purpose of animal conservation and research.Set on a huge 60 acres, the park is home to over 100 different species of Australian animals. It is here that you can not only see, but hand feed and really experience close encounters with wildlife. You will be surprised to find such a diverse range of native animals located only 2km's from the main township of Cowes.

For 10 weeks from Saturday 16 July 2016, a zeal of Marwell’s Zany Zebras will gallop through the streets of Southampton creating a fun, family friendly trail for all to enjoy. Brought to you by the same team at Marwell behind the hugely successful Go! Rhinos of 2013, Marwell’s Zany Zebras promises to be even bigger and better!
Marwell has chosen a Grevy’s zebra sculpture to highlight the plight of the species in the wild. For two decades Marwell Wildlife has been working with partners in northern Kenya to conserve wildlife in the area. There are under 3,000 Grevy’s zebra left in the wild.
In addition to this, a trail of replica miniature Marwell’s Zany Zebras will be hidden within Marwell Zoo itself. After the event, all of the large sculptures will be sold at auction to raise funds to conserve endangered Grevy’s zebras and other wildlife, and to support communities living in the arid rangelands of northern Kenya.
The business, artistic and academic communities have been working together to help Marwell stage this extraordinary, family friendly event for 2016 that will brighten up the streets, enliven the parks, add vibrancy to the high street and most importantly…. smiles to hundreds of thousands of visitors and residents.

A cow whose baby is taken from her screaming at his direction with longing and pain.
In every factory farm, cows are artificially impregnated in order for their bodies to produce milk.
After giving birth, they are immediately separated from their babies.
Female calves will become, like their mothers, a milk production machine.
Male calves will go to the meat industry.
