Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore | Cowles Bog Hike
Another adventure in the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, this time a longer hike that covers multiple habitats including swamp & wetlands, black oak forest, sand dunes and beaches. Some of the largest sand dunes in America are here on the south shores of Lake Michigan, and Catfish and I get sweaty trying to climb them. This hike took place less than 48 hours before a chemical spill (chromium-6) took place at one of the nearby steel mills, the beach seen in this video is currently closed while the EPA investigates the damage. Sorry for all the wind noise, that situation has since been remedied with some mods to my cameras :)
