Cowra Japanese Gardens - From the air
Opened in 1979, the multi award-winning Cowra Japanese Garden is a 'must see' at any time of the year. The Garden's designer, Ken Nakajima, created the Kaiyushiki (strolling) Garden to symbolise the Japanese landscape. The rocky hillside, manicured hedges, waterfalls and streams, and the two lakes provide a serene environment for a myriad of birdlife. Special features of the Garden include a Bonsho Bell, a traditional Edo Cottage, an authentic open air Tea House and a Bonsai House.
The cultural centre showcases exhibitions from a variety of local and regional artists and has two galleries featuring an extensive collection of Japanese artworks and artefacts.
Take time to explore the five hectares of garden and enjoy its beauty and tranquillity. Feed the Koi carp from the viewing platforms overlooking the lakes. Hire an audio tour for an intimate and informative experience. Enjoy modern Australian and Japanese cuisine at the licensed cafe.

Nano & Nagle vs the P-Plate Poltergeist : HSC Short Film
When red P-Plater Riley is pursued by a ghostly police officer, it is up to Nano and Nagle to save her, and put an end to the P-Plate Poltergeist.
This film was my major work for HSC Visual Arts. It took a year to complete and contains around 1900 individual hand drawn frames. It was animated in FireAlpaca with a Wacom Intuos tablet, although some frames were originally drawn on paper and then scanned. The film, as well as two prints are currently on display in the Cowra Regional Art Gallery.

Intervista Regina Noakes New Perspectives Galleria360 2016
Regina Noakes is a full time artist living in Western Australia.
She studied at the Art Students League, Boston, MA, USA; Institute of Education, Singapore, Dip.T. ( art and music); Licenciate of Music,, Australia; Associate of Music Australia; studied painting / assistant to Professor Antonio Napoli, Capri, Italy.
Regina has been teaching painting and given workshops at Fremantle Arts Centre, Western Australia since 2005.
She has recently been invited to teach at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore.
'Her paintings can be categorizes into observed and imaginative works. They convey a considerable range of emotions and complex psychological states in figurative compositions that are notable for their pared down power.
Often there is a sense of drama emanating from an interior space. The figures in her painting look out at the world with stares that seem to reach beyond the viewer into some other and much greater space.
The quality of the gazes contributes to the spiritual power of the works. They are hypnotic and at the same time contain a sense of reverie. There are many moments of drama as subtly laden with emotional undercurrents as a scene in one of Ibsen's plays, encapsulated in a single image. Her paintings are as much about looking away from something, and trying to retain its reality in the mind's eye, as they are about actually looking.'
