POKED BY A LONGHORN in Fort Worth, Texas?! (Stockyards, Cattle Drive, Water Gardens)
My family and I took a day trip over to Fort Worth, Texas to visit the Stockyards and the Water Gardens. We did a cool little maze activity and walked through the shops at the trading station. The cattle drive was also super unique and I almost got poked by a longhorn!!! Finally, the water gardens offers 4 unique attractions but my favorite is definitely the Active Water Pool!!

The history of Fort Worth, Texas, in the United States is closely intertwined with that of northern Texas and the Texan frontier. From its early history as an outpost and a barrier against Native American threats, to its later days as a booming cattle town, to modern times as a corporate center, the city has changed dramatically, although it still preserves much of its heritage in its modern culture.

Fort Worth Stockyard Cattle Drive
I visited the Fort Worth Stockyard in June of this year, and for me, it was not a disappointment! We arrived and park just in time to see folks gathering for the afternoon cattle drive. We grabbed a spot on the corner of East Exchange Ave and the parking area beside the Cowtown Cattlepen Maze. The Stockyards had plenty to offer: food, lots of great food and beverages, shopping, museums, etc... Find a complete list of activities on their website:
