Cox's Bazar (কক্সবাজার, Koksbajar, Koksbazar or Kokshbajar) is a town, a fishing port and district headquarters in Bangladesh. The beach in Cox's Bazar is an unbroken 120 km (75 mi) sandy sea beach with a gentle slope, one of the world's longest. It is located 150 km (93 mi) south of the industrial port Chittagong. Cox's Bazar is also known by the name Panowa, whose literal translation means yellow flower. Its other old name was Palongkee.
The modern Cox's Bazar derives its name from Captain Hiram Cox (died 1799), an officer of the British East India Company. Cox was appointed Superintendent of Palongkee outpost after Warren Hastings became Governor of Bengal. Captain Cox was specially mobilised to deal with a century-long conflict between Arakan refugees and local Rakhains. He embarked upon the task of rehabilitating refugees in the area and made significant progress. Captain Cox died in 1799 before he could finish his work. To commemorate his role in rehabilitation work, a market was established and named Cox's Bazar (Cox's Market) after him.
Today, Cox's Bazar is one of the most-visited tourist destinations in Bangladesh, though it is not a major international tourist destination. In 2013, the Bangladesh Government formed the Tourist Police unit to better protect local and foreign tourists, as well as to look after the nature and wildlife in the tourist spots of Cox's Bazar.

Cox's bazar- The worlds longest beach and one of the most visited tourist destination in Bangladesh. It is one of the most calm and relaxing place of Bangladesh.
It was a very sudden trip. We stayed at Ocean Paradise Hotel & Resort and went to few other places. Since we could not make time for distance tours. This journey was a memorable one and i tried to show every thing in this vlog.

Himchori many attractions are waiting for the tourists around Cox's Bazar. You can enjoy Himchori to see it's Waterfall, though in the winter season it dwindles but during the rainy season it's really a fabulous and full waterfall can be enjoyed. Its Located 12 km south of cox's Bazar Town and 6 km from the Kalatali beach by the hill.
From Kalatali stand, it is only 15-minute ride to entry; if you take a taxi or chandergari (local transport). You can also rent a car from cox's Bazar. The amazing waterfall of Himchari is a very rare scene to enjoy. The waterfall from the green hill is relatively extraordinary to look at.Here you get beautiful hilltop resort center where you can stay for relaxing and can hear the shore of the Bay of Bengal. Park is a beautiful tropical rain forest (evergreen & semi-ever-green) around the South Asia. The park was established in 1980. This place is maintained, protected and secured by the government for the foreign tourists and the local visitors. The Park is not only attractive for the tourists it is also attractive & important for the biologist. The park is also considered as a paradise of birdwatcher. than 286 species of birds found here .You can reach Himchari only by the beach. So, ensure you are back to town before high tide rise in the evening. It is not wise to stay here after sunset.

'সী বিচ ’ কথাটি শোনার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে কানের কাছে যেন ভেসে আসে সমুদ্রের গর্জন । উপচেপড়া ঢেউয়ে গা ভিজিয়ে , ঠান্ডা বাতাসে পা ভাসিয়ে সমুদ্রের পাড়ে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকা মানুষকে ক্ষনিকের জন্য অন্যজগতে নিয়ে যায় প্রকৃতি। অথবা অন্তহীন সমুদ্রের বুকে মুগ্ধ নয়নে সূর্যাস্ত দেখতে দেখতে সাক্ষী হওয়া যায় মহাবিশ্বের পট পরিবর্তনের।তাই আজকে আমরা এসেছি
বিশ্বের দীর্ঘতম সমুদ্র সৈকতখ্যাত এই কক্সবাজারে।
কক্সবাজারে আজকাল থাকার জায়গা নিয়ে চিন্তা করতে হয়না। বিনোদনের জন্য অবকাঠামো সেভাবে গড়ে না উঠলেও বিভিন্নমানের হোটেল, মোটেল এবং রিসোর্টের কমতি নেই।
তবে এতগুলো হোটেল রিসোর্টের মধ্যেও ব্যতিক্রম মারমেইড বিচ রিসোর্ট। কক্সবাজার শহর থেকে প্রায় ১৬ কিলোমিটার দূরে হিমছড়ির প্যাঁচার দ্বীপ নামক জায়গায় এর অবস্থান।
কক্সবাজার থেকে মেরিনড্রাইভ হয়ে মারমেইডে আসতে হলে হিমছড়ি পার হয়ে আসতে হবে। ইজি বাইক, সিএনজি অটোরিকশা বা নিজস্ব গাড়িতে করে এখানে আসা যায়। সময় লাগবে ২০ থেকে ৩০ মিনিটের মতো।
কক্সবাজার এসে আমরা উঠেছি মারমেইড বিচ রিসোর্টে। এখানে থাকবো একদিন। এই একদিনের অভিজ্ঞতা নিয়ে আজকের এই ভিডিও।
