COZUMEL, EL CIELO COZUMEL, SNORKELING TOUR COZUMEL MEXICO, MEXICAN BEACH, EL CIELO SAND BAR
COZUMEL, EL CIELO COZUMEL, SNORKELING TOUR COZUMEL MEXICO, MEXICAN BEACH, 2019, Cozumel, a mostly undeveloped Mexican island in the Caribbean Sea, is a popular cruise ship port of call famed for its scuba diving. At Arrecifes de Cozumel National Park, there's diving spots around a section of the Mesoamerican Reef and the Museo Subacuático de Arte’s submerged sculptures. Chankanaab is an eco park surrounding a lagoon with underwater caverns, home to dolphins, manatees and sea turtles. The economy of Cozumel is based on tourism, with visitors able to benefit from the island's balnearios, scuba diving, and snorkeling. The main town on the island is San Miguel de Cozumel. Cozumel has tropical savanna climate under the Köppen climate classification that closely borders on a tropical monsoon climate.[11] The dry season is short, from February to April, but even in these months precipitation is observed, averaging about 45 millimetres (1.8 in) of rain per month. The wet season is lengthy, covering most of the months, with September and October being the wettest months, when precipitation averages over 240 millimetres (9.4 in). Thunderstorms can occasionally occur during the wet season.[12] Temperatures tend to remain stable with little variation from month to month though the temperatures are cooler from December to February with the coolest month averaging 22.9 °C (73.2 °F). Owing to its proximity to the sea, the island is fairly humid, with an average humidity of 83%.[12] The wettest recorded month was October 1980 with 792 millimetres (31.2 in) of precipitation and the wettest recorded day was June 19, 1975, with 281 millimetres (11.1 in).[12] Extremes range from 9.2 °C (48.6 °F) on January 18, 1977 to 39.2 °C (102.6 °F). At El Cielo, named after heaven itself, marvel at the starfish that decorate the sandy ocean floor. This sandbank in the southwestern tip of Cozumel is an incredibly beautiful spot with turquoise waters and shallow areas where the starfish are known to gather. The water depth at Cielo is very shallow, usually only waist deep, and is known as a sandbar. El Cielo is only accessible by boat and is about a half mile from the coast. The powder white sand will massage your feet every step you take.
For the next part of your Cozumel tour to Colombia Reef, a sublime snorkeling spot hailed as one of the Marine National Park's finest. Mild currents greet you in a protected bay like area where the shallow coral heads rise around 10-30 feet above the sandy ocean floor. Situated near Colombia Lagoon this area sometimes gets cool, fresh water coming from the lagoon. With excellent visibility and diverse variety of marine life, Colombia Reef is a perfect place to spot sea turtles, coral communities, barracudas, eagle rays and schools of shimmering fish.

Chankanaab Beach Adventure Park - Cruise Excursion - Cozumel, Mexico

Cozumel, Mexico | Private Jeep Tour
The best way to see the island of Cozumel is by hiring a private jeep! For only $70 (as of this writing), you get your own private chaufffeur, make up your own destination list and get free tequila samples, too! We didn't want to be part of a big, rowdy group and having a private driver means, we skipped some places we weren't interested in seeing. Beautiful island, friendly people, excellent food. Not much for snorkelling, where we went but... overall, a must-do.
Cozumel, Mexico | 1-Day Shore Excursion & Cruise

Top Things to do in Cozumel, Mexico
Cozumel is the biggest island in the Riviera Maya so the best way to explore it is by jeep. Courtney Scott jumped in with Cozumel Cruise Excursions to discover what the island has to offer, from tequila tasting to snorkeling, to shopping and beach-hopping.

JUNGLE ADVENTURE IN COZUMEL MEXICO
Hellloooo Cozumel! What an epic day in Mexico :) So we chose the ATV to Jade Cavern adventure excursion which had us riding through this jungle area and it was pretty fun although I would recommend buying lots of mosquito repellent. Although I didn’t feel any on me at the time the next day I was definitely bitten and I honestly never get bitten by mosquitos…like less than the average person haha. So if they got me they will most likely get you! I cant believe what we did at the end though like WHY DO WE DO THAT TO OURSELVES !!!

COZUMEL SNORKELING TIPS & Creepy Animals
Best snorkeling from the shore in Cozumel Mexico. After spending $40 on snorkel boat tours, A local told me that a place called Playa Corona was much better. You could snorkel from the beach and it was free. That was once true. After hurricane Wilma, the coral reef near the shore is gone there as well as the nearby Sky Reef. I’m not sure if the wave action crushed the reef to a pulp or if Wilma just buried it with sand. Probably both. The deeper reefs away from the shore are still intact and thriving well. You can take several snorkeling tours that will guide you. The best snorkeling form the shore we found was at El Presidente Resort and Spa. For three nights we stayed right on the crystal clear turquoise waters and lounged in the many palapas, bungalows, pools and hot tubs. Ocean sunset dinners were spectacular and The food was so fresh it was practically crawling off your plate. We ended up snorkeling from the beach there the entire rest of our vacation exploring a couple small coral outcroppings and the sunken barge thingie. You can rent snorkel gear at El Presidente and The staff was extremely friendly.

Chankanaab Beach Adventure Park, Cozumel Mexico (Carnival Breeze)
Join my family and I as we explore Chankanaab Beach Adventure Park in Cozumel, Mexico. We purchased the All inclusive Chankanaab Beach day & Sea Lion Show for $84.99 per person through Carnival. This included the use of the facility such as access to snorkeling, food from a buffet, sea lion show (however it was too packed, so we decided not to go) which was included and lockers for a small fee.

Cozumel, Mexico -Submarine Tour.
This is definitely one of the most unique tours in Cozumel. You
actually fully submerge in a real submarine, and dive to depths of 100 feet beneath the surface of the water. From beneath the sea, you'll see the wonders of underwater Cozumel go by before your eyes. You could see the coral reefs and some fishes of Cozumel without even getting wet!

I wanted to do something different for my Birthday this year, and after going on a cruise for the first time last April, and really enjoying it, I decided to to take a cruise again this April, but I planned it so my Birthday would actually take place while on the cruise. I learned last year that cruises depart out of Galveston, TX. This is only about 1 hour south of Houston, TX, which is where I live, so it couldn’t be any more convenient. After a good experience with Carnival Cruise Lines last year, I decided to book it with Carnival again, but this time I decided to try out the Carnival Breeze since I had already tried the Carnival Freedom last year.
Our first of three destinations was Cozumel, Mexico! Since I visited Cozumel on last years cruise as well, I wanted to make sure I tried a different Excursion this time around. So after chatting back and forth with my friend Nikki that was going with me, we settled on Xcaret Park in Playa Del Carmen. I wanted to try this place out because there were so many activities available to do! As it turns out, you need much more than a single day to accomplish all the available activities at Xcaret Park. The map of the park has over 60 different activities and as you can see in this video, we only had enough time to do about 5 of them over a span of about 6-7 hours. I definitely would love to go back sometime, and now that I know how the park operates, I’d like to take more cameras so I can shoot an even better video than I did this time around.
If you want to know more about this park, you can visit their website However, if you’re planning to visit Xcaret Park while on a cruise, I would suggest booking it through the cruise line to make sure the timeframes coincide with the timing of the ship arriving and departing from the port.
If you’d like to know what cameras I used to shoot this with, for the intro and outro, the time lapse was shot with my Sony X3000. The first half of the video was all shot on my cell phone, the Google Pixel XL 2. (Google, I’m planning to shoot a lot more videos with this phone, so if you’re looking to sponsor anyone, I’m interested :) For the second half of the video, where we were swimming the river, Nikki was shooting with my GoPro Hero 4 Black and I was shooting with the GoPro Hero 5 Black. Shoutout to Nikki for being willing to tote a camera around for much of this trip, I actually used more of her river footage than my own.
