20 Things to do in Kraków, Poland Travel Guide video transcript:
We kicked off this trip to Poland with a visit to Krakow, a city people have been telling us to visit for years and now we know why. Krakow in the summertime was wonderful! We spent our time enjoying castle views from the river side, exploring neighbourhoods covered in street art, eating some of the best pierogie of our lives, and also discovering what we think may be the best ice cream. The following is our travel guide to some of the best things to do in Krakow!
Wawel Castle is Krakow's crowning jewel, and for centuries it was the residence of the kings of Poland. You can see a mix of Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque architecture all in one place.
While in the city, we also had to walk the Royal Route, which was once the historic coronation path of Polish kings.
After visiting the basilica, we spent a bit of time walking the Main Square, which just so happens to be Europe's largest medieval town square.
And that’s it for our visit to Krakow! We hope this video gave you a few ideas of things to do around the city. If you have any other places to add to this list or any tips for fellow travellers visiting Krakow feel free to share those.
This is part of our Travel in Poland video series showcasing Polish food, Polish culture, Polish cuisine while visiting Kraków Polska.

Krakow Airport Terminal 1 Tour - Krakow International Airport Information
This is a walk inside Krakow Airport named John Paul II International Airport Krakow Balice. The film footage starts with the arrival at Krakow Airport (KRK) outside the main departure terminal (Terminal 1). Viewers will notice that there is allot of construction work in the area, this is because Krakow Airport is undergoing a major modernization program.
The footage starts with the main check-in area located in the terminal. Once check-in has taken place we move upstairs to where the security control and gates are located. Just when you get up the stairs passengers will find a large cafeteria / restaurant where they can have a drink or snack before their flight (this is also a perfect place to have a drink or snack with non-passengers before a flight. After passing the security control we find ourselves inside the very small departure area where the gates are also located. Viewers are given a view of this terminal and the duty free shops, kiosks, bars, snack bars, lavatories and Business Lounge service this area has to offer. Viewers are then given a view out of the windows which face the runway (not a very busy runway) which give the passengers a nice view of some of the airport activities. The footage ends with the boarding process at Krakow Airport where passengers are driven by bus to their respective aircraft.
Wiki writes about Krakow Airport, John Paul II International Airport Kraków–Balice (Polish: Kraków Airport im. Jana Pawła II since 4 September 2007; earlier in Polish: Międzynarodowy Port Lotniczy im. Jana Pawła II Kraków–Balice) (IATA: KRK, ICAO: EPKK) is an international airport located near Kraków, in the village of Balice, 11 km (6.8 mi) west[1] of the city centre, in southern Poland....In 2003, when Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair became interested in starting a service from the John Paul II International Airport, the airport authorities refused to reduce the landing fees. In response, the regional authorities of Kraków and Lesser Poland Voivodeship decided to build a new airport near the existing one, using the infrastructure of the military airbase adjacent to the shared runway. Finally an agreement was reached, and the existing airport was opened to Ryanair and other low-cost carriers such as Germanwings, EasyJet, and Centralwings...
Wiki writes about Krakow (Kraków), Krakow, a southern Poland city near the border of the Czech Republic, is known for its well-preserved medieval core and Jewish quarter. Old Town – ringed by Planty Park and remnants of the city’s medieval walls – is centered on the stately, expansive Rynek Glówny (market square), site of Cloth Hall, a Renaissance-era trading outpost, and St. Mary’s Basilica, a 14th-century Gothic church...
This Krakow Airport terminal review is filmed at Krakow Airport (KRK) (Terminal 1) and includes a walk through the airport from arrival to embarkation of our Lufthansa flight to Frankfurt.

How We Spent 3 Days in Krakow, Poland
We had a short after-christmas vacation in Krakow, Poland. We flew to Krakow, Poland via Ryanair. Ryanair offers cheap flight tickets to Poland. Our roundtrip tickets cost us less than $150 for 3 persons. We only spent 3 days in Krakow as it was a last minute kind of unplanned trip. We chose Krakow since Ryanair offered good rates on the dates we were free to travel, right after christmas.

Krakow, Poland is best enjoyed in winter if hotel accommodation is in Stare Miasto, Krakow old town. No need to travel by taxi or walk long distance to get to the main attraction of Krakow. Most of the tourist attractions can be found in old town or stare miasto in Krakow. It was our first time in Krakow and we hope to come back again and explore Krakow’s attractions. Getting sick in Krakow really spoiled the fun. We didn’t get to see many places. One important tour we missed was the Salt Mine Tour that we paid for. Non-refundable of course.

8 THINGS TO DO IN AND AROUND KRAKOW, POLAND
Hello everyone!
I had the chance to visit Poland back in March and decided to make a short vlog out of it. Here you can find some of my suggestions and what to do / see in and about this beautiful city!
The list does not include things which you can find in the old town as I thought it would be pretty natural for anyone to see them anyway. My suggestions are based on personal liking and what I feel is really worth seeing in Krakow and around it. I included Zakopane as well, a small town two hours outside of Krakow, close to the border with Czech Republic. There are loads of buses going there everyday and I feel like it really is something worth visiting if you find yourself in Krakow - or Poland - for long enough.
Hope you enjoy it! And please let me know in the comments if you have any additions / suggestions / thoughts.
- Elena
KRAKOW, POLAND VLOG
You don't need a lot of money to travel the world.
I just got back from a three day trip in Krakow, Poland for under £35..
Flights £12
Accommodation £8 - City centre, plus breakfast (Hostel)
£6 Airport Transport
£8 for food
There are many different ways to travel, through tours, cruisers, groups, solo, luxury or budget. Each offering something uniquely special. Just like experiencing a different country or city.
I had a wonderful time here in Krakow. Three days was more than enough time to explore the whole city, as it was all walking distance. Food, transport and accommodation was really cheap.
Definitely worth a visit.

Hotel Review: Novotel Kraków City West, Bronowice, Kraków, Lesser Poland, Poland - January 2017
Hotel Review: Novotel Kraków City West, Lesser Poland, Poland - January 2017.
The Novotel Kraków City West, is located in the suburb of Bronowice about a 30-40 minute walk, or a 7 minute taxi ride (£4.50 in an UberPop) from Kraków's Old Town. The hotel interior seems modern and stylish, it looks as though it has had a recent design makeover.
Two of us stayed at the hotel in January 2017 for 4 nights, bed and breakfast, which cost £212 booked via the Novotel website.
This film features: the entrance to the hotel, reception, lobby, bar, gaming area, the lift, a detailed room review of 922, views from room 922, New Year's Day 2017 sunset, the breakfast buffet, restaurant, pool changing rooms, and swimming pool.
The room was large and comfortable, typical Novotel style with a large comfortable bed, desk on wheels, sofa, wardrobe, tea and coffee making facilities, the bathroom was modern and clean with a shower over the bath. The staff at the hotel gave great customer service, the breakfast was delicious and the swimming pool was a real asset, it was quiet most of the time, and provided a great bit of recreation away from the cold. I would definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.
