Primitive Technology: Stone Axe (celt)

The manufacture of a stone ax including the handle from using only primitive tools and materials. It is a celt (pronounced selt) a type of ax with a polished stone head wedged into a hole or mortise at the end of a wooden handle (not to be confused with a Kelt referring to a Celtic person). The head took about a week and a day to make as I chose to make it from a particularly large piece of basalt. The hammer stone used to shape the basalt was of quartz. This involved hammering, pecking, grinding and polishing the head into the final shape. The handle took a day and a morning to make. A chisel was made from stone and a mallet made from a log. These were used to cut the tree for the handle and shape it once down. Fire was used to harden the wood and also to help shape the mortise. The ax was then used to cut down a tree the day after the handle was a tree itself. It is a more efficient tool for felling trees than the hand ax I made and at the time of uploading this video has cut down 4 trees which I will use later. Because this stone axe is blunter than a steel one, the blade needs to hit the tree at angles greater than 45 degrees- otherwise the blade would glance off. So celts were used more like wedges than modern axes.

3. Don't skip out on eating non-Brazilian food while in Sao Paulo. There are tons of amazing places, foods, restaurants and styles for you to enjoy!
4. Don't lose your wits. Pay attention! Sao Paulo has a reputation for crime for a reason.
5. Don't expect a beach vacation. Sao Paulo is not a Brazilian beach city, it is a cultural, shopping, museum, business hub for South America.

Diana and Roma Pretend Play Police

Diana pretend play as a cop and pretends to put Roma in her jail playhouse tent toy. Roma threw trash outside in a no littering zone, so he had to go to jail. After that, Roma was picking flowers at a garden that didn’t allow people to remove flowers and was fishing in a no fishing zone and had to go to the jail playhouse for a few minutes. Morning Routine and DIY ! In this DIY I show my Morning Routine and 10 epic DIY projects to make your mornings happy and unique. Everyday makeup tutorial, Heatless curls hairstyle, DIY makeup, DIY clothes, healthy recipes, nail art and much more. I wanted to film a Morning routine for school or work, but summer is just around the corner, which means no school or work. So here I show my typical free day morning routine or a summer morning routine. Although summer hasn't yet arrived to where I live to be honest. Anyway, this is a morning routine when I don't have to get up and run out the door, but I can actually sleep a bit longer. Well as you can see in the video that's not always the case, hehe.



This morning routine is probably different from all other morning routine videos because I also show you 10 amazing DIY ideas that make every morning the best morning ever! I have been trying to eat very healthy lately, so in this morning routine video I show you several easy healthy recipes. I made an easy and delicious smoothie with strawberries, raspberries, banana and some milk. This smoothie is so delicious and done in a second! Other healthy recipes that I show you throughout my morning routine are granola and seed crackers. Both are so easy to make, so tasty and convenient to have for a breakfast or a snack.

In the morning routine video I also show you some DIY makeup, specifically a DIY tinted lip balm and DIY beach hair spray. A DIY lip balm consists of only two ingredients that I bet you already have at home. Vaseline and a piece of old lipstick. This DIY lip balm makes my lips moist and soft while it also gives them a nice touch of color.

There can't be a morning routine without fixing our hair, right? This time I decided for heatless waves that won't even take a minute of your time. Because who wants to spend a hour on hairstyles ?! Not me hehe. And since this is a morning routine for summer my heatless waves aren't perfect without that summer beachy texture. I show how to quickly make a DIY beach hair spray. Just a few ingredients and you have an awesome spray that gives instant texture and waves to your hairstyles.

In the morning routine I also show my workout routine as well. On rainy day I like to do a strength workout but since this weekend the weather was nice, I decided for a cardio workout and went out for a run.

Even though I don't wear makeup everyday, I show you my makeup routine for when I do decide to put something on my face. So we can call it my everyday makeup, because whenever I wear makeup, this is the makeup look I go for. Just a very basic natural makeup, that enhances my facial features without making me look overly done.

When it comes to clothes, you guys know how I love my DIY projects. So I show how to make awesome DIY shoes and DIY graphic tee. Both so easy, fun to make and gorgeous to look at. For the DIY shoes I stick denim hearts all over my sneakers and they turned out fantastic. DIY graphic tee is made by simply ironing the picture on with the help of a transfer paper.

And of course I had to also include an easy and lovely nail art design to my morning routine. Purple nails with colorful dotted accents are an easy way to make a perfect summer nail art in no time.

As promised here are the measures I used to make my healthy crackers: one and a half cups of sunflower seeds, quarter of a cup of pumpkin seeds and pines, one cup whole flax seeds, half a cup grounded flax seeds, about five spoons of chia seeds, half a cup of sesame seeds, some almond slices, 5 spoons of psyllium husk and a tea spoon of salt. In the end add 5 decilitres of water.

Fabric Terra Cotta Pots
We'll show you how to decoupage mini terra cotta pots with fabric using Outdoor Mod Podge.

How To Decoupage Mini Terra Cotta Pots With Fabric Using Mod Podge
Materials
Mini terra cotta pots
Spray paint primer, white
Plaid Martha Stewart Crafts Multi-Surface Acrylic Craft Paint Surf #32016
Flat paintbrush
Outdoor Mod Podge
Tissue paper
Pencil
Scissors (We like Fiskars Easy Cut scissors and highly recommend them!)
Fabric (We used Amy Butler Love Tumble Roses and Eternal Sunshine)
Straight pins

Steps
1. To get started, prime the little pot with white spray paint primer.

2. Next paint the outer rim and inside of the pot with blue craft paint. Use the flat side of the craft paintbrush to get a sharp line under the lip of the pot. Leave the sides of the pot white. This is where the fabric will go.

3. Make a template for the fabric. To do this, wrap a piece of tissue paper around the pot. Use a pencil to make the tissue under the lip of the pot and around the bottom edge of the pot. Mark the ends too, where the tissue wraps around to the beginning.

4. Use the straight pins to attach the tissue paper to the fabric. Be sure to select a portion of the fabric you want to show on the pot. Cut out the fabric around the template.

5. The last step is to decoupage the fabric onto the pot using the Outdoor Mod Podge. To do this, paint a generous layer of Mod Podge around the sides of the pot. Carefully line up the fabric on the pot and press it onto the pot. Use your finger to press out any wrinkles.

6. Finally, coat the outside of the fabric with Outdoor Mod Podge. Also paint the lip and inside the of the pot with the Mod Podge. Let dry.

This technique works for any size terra cotta pots. We chose these tiny ones because the trio of them is sooo cute! Wouldn't these make a sweet gift planted with herbs or succulents? Let us know if you make them!
