In the 19th century, the village of Petrykivka near the Ukrainian city of Dnipro became the center of a decorative art form revolution, where peasant houses were painted with floral and plant motifs. And even to this day, it's a tradition that lives on.

Petrikivka painting (or simply Petrykivka) is a traditional Ukrainian decorative painting style, originating from the village of Petrykivka in Dnipropetrovsk oblast of Ukraine. The earliest known examples of this style date from the 17th century, but it continues to thrive and develop as a modern art form. Petrikivka painting included in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

PERMANENT REVOLUTION, an exhibition of Ukrainian contemporary art, opens in Ludwig Museum in Budapest on 5 April, 2018.
This is the first wide-scale museum presentation of Ukrainian contemporary art to the European audience. PERMANENT REVOLUTION exhibition will be showcased in Budapest from April 6 until June 24, 2018.
5 квітня у одній з центральних інституцій сучасного мистецтва – Музеї Людвіга у Будапешті відкриється виставка «Перманентна Революція».
Це перша масштабна музейна презентація сучасного українського мистецтва європейському глядачеві. Проект триватиме з 6 квітня до 24 червня 2018 року.
