Time Team S11-E13 Cranborne.Chase,.Dorset
Ogling a Grade One listed 15th-century manor would be enough for most people - but not for the Time Team. They have to rip up the floorboards and look underneath, because somewhere around this Northamptonshire house there should be a fine Saxon hall that once belonged to no less a figure than King Cnut.
Although better known for trying to command the sea in his day, Cnut was also famed as a great hunter. Did this site once play host to the great Anglo-Danish king and his retinue? Tony and the Team have three days to find out.

What a wonderful location for a traditional English Country Church Fete held in the grounds of CRANBORNE MANOR in East Dorset.

庭は、wall garden、果樹園、つげといちいのノット・ガーデン、ハーブ・ガーデンなど見所が多かった。ガーデン・センターは特に充実していて、ガーデンテーブルのセットやポットなどのガーデン用品や雑貨も多かった。苗も大苗で生き生きとしていて、持ち帰りたいほどだった。

Cranborne Priory was a priory in Cranborne in Dorset, England.The priory church survives as Cranborne's parish church, the Church of St Mary and St Bartholomew, and is a Grade I listed building, with parts of the building dating back to the 12th century.

Things Change
Iwerne Minster is a small village in North Dorset, England, just off the A350 under Cranborne Chase in the Blackmore Vale.
The film 'Things Change' was made just days before the war ended to show a Dorset village carrying on despite the conflict.
It shows two days in the life of Iwerne Minster as an encouragement to the nation. It was made by people sent down by the War Ministry but the driving force in getting it to happen seems to have been the then Lord of the Manor, James Ismay, whose house in now Claysmore School.
During the war he was desperately concerned to keep Iwerne men fighting at the front in France in touch with their families and the community.

This. is the fifth video I have created as part of my 'For the Drivers', UK Driving and Adventure blog.
This time I go it alone and went off to explore Cranborne Chase near Shaftsbury, where I managed to find a little gem of a stretch of road and had a great deal of fun. However, on the whole, not one I’d be recommending you travel for any time soon.
