Kentucky religious group constructing life-sized Noah’s Ark
Answers in Genesis, a Christian non-profit based in Kentucky, has raised more than $30 million to construct a life-sized replica of Noah’s Ark, but critics are saying that the project is a waste of money and contributes to the “Disneyfication” of religion. RT’s Alexey Yaroshevsky takes a look at the whether the project will be submerged by the controversy.

Every other Wednesday we present a new video, so join us to see the truth laid bare...
Mainstream Christianity has been so influenced by the Enlightenment that’s its views are now totally different from those of 400 years ago. But the beliefs of some Christians in the United States have hardly changed at all. A recent poll found that almost one third of Americans still believe that the biblical story of creation is literally true.
In the 1970s American fundamentalists came up with their own version of science, “Scientific Creationism”. Creationists base their core principles not on observation and experiment, but on the Bible. The Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky, was set up in 2007 to give Christians a history of the natural world that fits with a literal interpretation of the bible.

Creation Museum Kentucky
After the Ark Encounter, we just could not go home without seeing the Creation Museum in Kentucky. This museum is fascinating and offers some unique perspectives on how we got here on this earth. The Creation theory challenges the mind and the heart to consider just how we came to be and our purpose today. Our time at the museum was short and we did not get to everything but Ethan was captivated by the dragon exhibit, Rachel loved the animals and we all enjoyed the planetarium.

Biggest Noah's Ark Replica in the World - Exact Full Scale Replica !!!
Exact Copy of Noah's Ark - Biggest in the World !!! Full Scale
Noah's Ark rebuilt in the Netherlands Animals in the ship Man Builds Noah's Ark
Noah's Ark (Hebrew: תיבת נח; Classical Hebrew: Teyvat Noaḥ) is a large vessel appearing in the Book of Genesis (chapters 6--9) and the Quran (surahs Hud and Al-Mu'minoon). These narratives describe the construction of the ark by the Patriarch Noah at God's command to save himself, his family, and the world's animals from the worldwide deluge of the Great Flood.
In the narrative of the ark, God sees the wickedness of man and is grieved by his creation, resolving to send a great flood to cleanse the Earth. However, God chooses a man named Noah and counted it righteous to him to live and preserve mankind through Noah's family. God then proceeds to give Noah instructions on how to build the ark. When Noah and the animals are safe on board, God sends the Flood, which rises until all the mountains are covered and all life on Earth is destroyed. At the height of the flood, the ark rests on mountaintops, before the waters recede and dry land reappears. Noah, his family, and the animals leave the ark to repopulate the Earth. God places a symbolic rainbow in the sky and makes a covenant with Noah and all living things, by which he vows to never again send a flood to destroy the Earth.
Johan's Ark or Ark van Johan is a Noah's Ark-themed mobile structure built by Dutch creationist Johan Huibers. The replica is half the length of that given in the Bible, 150 cubits or 70 metres. Johan's model is 30 cubits high and 20 cubits wide.[1] The Bible reports Noah was commanded to build an ark having a length of 300 cubits, a width of 50 cubits, and a height of 30 cubits.
Huibers built the structure in the river port of Schagen, 45 km north of Amsterdam, in one and a half years time; in 2007 he opened the doors to visitors. After a few months the structure was towed by tugboat through canals in the Netherlands and moored in the harbours of Rotterdam and Arnhem.
Construction
Huibers states that he followed details given in Genesis during construction of the Ark. While the Bible specified that the Ark had to be built from the unknown gopher wood, the replica is a steel frame skinned with American Cedar and Pine and built on top of a steel barge. The Ark contains models of various animals, and other displays. Huibers spent more than €1 million on the project.
Big Ark (number 2)
As of 2010, Huibers was building a second, full-sized (137 m / 449 ft) boat-shaped structure in Dordrecht, due to be opened in June of that year.[4][dated info] This Ark is carried on a platform made up of 25 LASH barges and Huibers intends to apply for a coaster's seaworthiness license[5] and is invited in one years time to be in London for the 2012 Summer Olympics as well as visiting other locations in Europe. The new Ark is partly financed by income from the first Ark as well as donations and loans.[5]

Creation Museum geologist given permission to research at Grand Canyon
PETERSBURG, Ky. (WKRC) - A local geologist who works with the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter in northern Kentucky will get to do research at the Grand Canyon after all.
Under the threat of a lawsuit, the National Park Service gave a permit to Andrew Snelling.
Snelling filed a complaint after his initial request was denied. The lawsuit alleged he was being discriminated against because he is a creationist.
The permit will allow him to collect rock samples.
Snelling says he believes the rocks are less than 10,000 old.

2015 LFL National Conference – The Gospel in Genesis with Ken Ham
Nearly 400 Lutherans gathered October 30-31 at both the Cincinnati Airport Marriott and the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky, from across the United States and Canada for the 2015 Lutherans For Life National Conference. The theme: Created • Redeemed • Called.
“Since moving to America in 1987, Australian Ken Ham—president and founder of Answers in Genesis-US, the highly acclaimed Creation Museum (which has had well over two million visitors since it opened), and visionary behind the construction of a full-size Noah’s Ark—has become one of the most in-demand Christian conference speakers and talk show guests. (In one year alone, he appeared on Fox’s The O’Reilly Factor and Fox and Friends in the Morning, CNN’s The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer, ABC’s Good Morning America, the BBC, and so on.) He became internationally known for his 2014 creation/evolution debate with Bill Nye “The Science Guy,” which has been watched by an estimated 15 million people. In May of 2007, Answers in Genesis opened its high-tech and acclaimed Creation Museum and education center in the Cincinnati, Ohio, area (on 70 scenic acres in Petersburg, Kentucky). The brainchild of Ken Ham, the state-of-the-art facility contains dozens of world-class exhibits—including impressive animatronic dinosaur models, a $1 million allosaur fossil, and planetarium—which are now on display inside the 75,000-sq-ft museum. In its first seven years, the museum attracted over two million guests. AiG is building the Ark Encounter, an attraction featuring a life-size Ark as its centerpiece, about forty miles south of the museum. A biblical apologist, Ken gives numerous faith-building talks to tens of thousands of children and adults each year (he receives hundreds of invitations to speak annually) on such topics as the reliability of the Bible, how compromise over biblical authority has undermined society and even the church (which is seeing a massive exodus of young people), witnessing more effectively, dinosaurs, “races,” and so on. Ken cofounded AiG in 1994 with the purpose of upholding the authority of the Bible from the very first verse. Ken is the author of many books on Genesis, including the eye-opening book Already Gone, coauthored by renowned researcher Britt Beemer, on why so many young people have left the church, the best-selling The Lie: Evolution, and a number of children’s books (Dinosaurs of Eden, D is for Dinosaur, A is for Adam, and so on). Other recent coauthored books include One Race, One Blood and How Could a Loving God …?, and the provocative book Already Compromised about Christian colleges and how they treat the authority of the Bible. Ken is heard daily on the radio feature Answers with Ken Ham (broadcast on more than 850 stations) and is a frequent guest on national TV talk shows. Ken is also the founder of the award-winning Answers magazine, which won the prestigious “Award of Excellence” (for top Christian magazine) in 2011 from the Evangelical Press Association. Ken’s bachelor’s degree in applied science (with an emphasis on environmental biology) was awarded by the Queensland Institute of Technology in Australia. He also holds a diploma of education from the University of Queensland (a graduate qualification necessary for Ken to begin his initial career as a science teacher in the public schools in Australia). In recognition of the contribution Ken has made to the church in the USA and internationally, Ken has been awarded four honorary doctorates: a Doctor of Divinity (1997) from Temple Baptist College in Cincinnati, Ohio; a Doctor of Literature (2004) from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia; a Doctor of Letters (2010) from Tennessee Temple University; and a Doctorate in Humane Letters from Mid-Continent University in Kentucky (2012). Ken and his wife, Mally, reside in the Cincinnati area. They have five children and fourteen grandchildren.”
Documentary about the beginning of creation and the origin of man parti2
The Creation Museum, located in Petersburg, Kentucky, is operated by the Christian apologetics ministry Answers in Genesis (AiG) to promote a Young Earth creationist explanation of the origins of the universe based on a literal interpretation of the Genesis creation narrative. The 60,000-square-foot (5,600 m2) museum cost $27 million -- raised entirely through private donations to AiG -- and opened on May 28, 2007. In addition to the museum proper, the facility also houses a special effects theater, a planetarium, and a gift shop, and serves as the headquarters of AiG. The museum employs approximately 300 people in total, and all permanent employees must sign a statement of faith affirming their belief in AiG's principles. In August 2013, AiG officials estimated that almost 1.9 million people had visited the museum, with yearly attendance surpassing 250,000 in each year of the museum's operation. Since its opening, the museum has added attractions such as a petting zoo, a zip line and sky bridge course, and a bug exhibit.
Consistent with its Young Earth creationist ideology, the museum's exhibits depict the coexistence of humans and dinosaurs, maintain that the Earth is approximately 6,000 years old, and dispute the idea that life arose via the process of biological evolution. These and other ideas presented in the museum contradict scientific consensus, and scientists and educators have objected to the effects the museum and AiG's teachings could have on science education. Proponents of other religious beliefs about the universe's origins -- including Old Earth creationism, theistic evolution, and intelligent design -- have also been critical of the museum, claiming its rejection of scientific consensus damages the credibility of Christianity and its adherents. Despite these and other criticisms, tenets of Young Earth creationism enjoy substantial support among the general population in the United States, contributing to the museum's popularity.
Both supporters and opponents of the museum have generally praised the aesthetic quality of its displays -- which include representations of biblical people and events, fiberglass and animatronic dinosaurs, videos, and explanatory signage -- but some critics have noted discrepancies in appearance between the museum's models and the fossil record. The museum is not accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, and some scientists and museum professionals have argued that it does not fit the formal definition of a museum.

5. SOUNDBITE: (English) Ken Ham, President, Creation Museum:
As Christians, we need to get out there and defend the Christian faith. And we want to show people that not only is the bible true, not only is its history true, but we can defend that. We can use real science, and when I say real science, I mean mainstream science, to show that it confirms the bible's history.
6. Medium shot of man looking at display case
7. SOUNDBITE: (English) Ken Ham, President, Creation Museum:
Well, basically instead of man evolving from some ape-like ancestor and becoming some sort of primitive caveman who learned to grunt and eventually learned to talk and eventually to develop where we are today, the bible makes it clear that God made the first two people, Adam and Eve. They were highly intelligent from the start. Their decendants went out and built cities and made musical instruments. One of their decendants, Noah, went out and built a great big boat.
8. Medium shot of model of dinosaur
9. SOUNDBITE: (English) Kim Schiffman, museum visitor:
I was raised up believing this way, the bible, every word in the bible is true. The whole evolution theory to me is ridiculous. So I don't have a problem having raised my children and now my granddaughter, what I know the truth is.
10. Wide shot of demonstration
11. Medium shot of girl holding up banner reading in English: ''Do you believe people and dinosaurs lived together?''
12. SOUNDBITE (English) Daniel Samson, Campaign for the Defence of the Constitution (Defcon):
These people don't believe that geology is a valid science. They don't believe that paleontology is a valid science. They don't believe that anthropology is a valid science. They don't even believe that astronomy is a valid science. And so when you walk through this museum, and I was in two or three months ago, you will find that in every area of science, they're on the other side of the fence. We cannot deny 300 years of human endeavour and all the science that's been discovered and say that it's invalidated. We can't do that.
13. People holding up signs reading in English: ''Get real'' and ''Don't brainwash your children''
14. SOUNDBITE (English) Lawrence Krauss, professor of physics and astronomy, Case Western Reserve University:
You don't have to turn back knowledge just to believe in God. And in fact, the way scientists do science, it's quite simple. We ask a bunch of questions and we let nature give us the answers. This museum has the answers, and it doesn't care about what nature tells us. And that is really doing a disservice.
15. Wide shot of demonstrators
STORYLINE:
A new museum that supports a literal reading of the Bible has attracted crowds of both visitors and protesters on its opening day.
The 27 (m) million US dollar facility known as the Creation Museum held its grand opening Monday in Petersburg, Kentucky, located a few miles south of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Museum president Ken Ham insists that mainstream science confirms the Bible's history.
As Christians, we need to get out there and defend the Christian faith. And we want to show people that not only is the Bible true, not only is its history true, but we can defend that, Ham said.
The museum's displays tell visitors that the earth is just a few thousand years old and that Adam and Eve lived among the dinosaurs.
Visitors whose faith leads them to reject evolution were enthusiastic about exhibits that show dinosaurs frolicking with children and Noah's Ark being built.

2015 LFL National Conference – Creation Concert with Buddy Davis
Nearly 400 Lutherans gathered October 30-31 at both the Cincinnati Airport Marriott and the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky, from across the United States and Canada for the 2015 Lutherans For Life National Conference. The theme: Created • Redeemed • Called.
“Gifted by God in many ways, Buddy Davis is a speaker and singer/songwriter for AiG (Answers in Genesis). He is an adventurer and paleo-artist, and he leads the very popular ‘Creation Adventure’ children’s workshop at AiG conferences and at the Creation Museum. Buddy plays many acoustic instruments, and his music is enjoyed around the world. As a speaker for AiG, Buddy’s talks cover a wide range of topics. Whether geared for adults, children, or the whole family, Buddy’s messages are aimed at the lay audience. His easy-to-understand style makes him popular with listeners of all ages. As an author and illustrator of children’s and family books, Buddy is once again able to minister to a wide range of people. Fiction and non-fiction, print and audio, Buddy’s easy-to-read style is perfect for family read-aloud time and classroom use. As a songwriter, the sole purpose of Buddy’s music is to uphold the authority of God’s Word and draw people to a closer walk with Jesus Christ, our Creator and Savior. Hard-hitting songs like “Godly Men” and “I Believe” (written by Buddy) have ministered to many. Buddy plays a variety of folk-style instruments (e.g., guitar, mandolin, harmonica), and his down-home-America singing style is pleasing to all. He has recorded 12 CDs, and when he is at the museum, Buddy does a concert every day. Buddy’s greatest adventure happened in the north of the Alaskan tundra (within the Arctic Circle) with his search for dinosaur bones. His exploration for Noah’s Ark took him to Mt. Ararat in Turkey. Buddy is easily recognized in his explorer clothes and trademark hat. This image allows Buddy to connect with families in a special way, and the children always recognize him as the star of the Creation Adventure Team’s award-winning videos. As a “paleo-artist,” Buddy specializes in building life-size dinosaur sculptures. He has sculpted more than sixty impressive dinosaur models, many of which have found a new home in the Creation Museum. His work has been featured worldwide in newspapers, magazines, books, and on television.”
