During a storm surge, a full moon and high tide, the ocean was rough and the waves were high. This is a beach that one can normally drive a vehicle across.

Driving my car on Crescent Beach. At one time this was the only way to reach the LaHave Islands. One of the few places that still allow driving on the sand. Shot by attaching a GoPro Hero 2 camera to the outside of my vehicle.

This beach is actually made up of a few crescent shaped beaches strung together. These are white sandy beaches on the edge of the turquoise Atlantic Ocean....Giving it a Caribbean Feel. Except the water is much Cooler!
The first couple of beaches are close to the parking lot(Free Parking) and can be quite busy in the summer. Come in the morning or evening for the sunset. Its much less crowded at these times, sometimes not a soul.
The furthest beach around the point is a Nudist Beach, But no one was around any of the beaches this morning.
There are walking trails and cliffs as well to enjoy.
This is a very short drive from Halifax, and not to missed if you are visiting!!
My video guests were backpackers visiting Halifax on their Canada150 Journeys. They were a great crew and I was very happy to show them a little part of Nova Scotia. Couchsurfing/Hosting is a great way to meet and make new friends with people around the world. Hosting to me is like Backwards Travel!! Its Awesome
