Short film about Crikvenica, Croatia summer 2017. Well known croatian tourist resort city of Crikvenica settled at North Adriatic coast 37 km from Rijeka. In this short movie you can see a centre of Crikvenica, a new square, promenade called Balustrada which connects city centre with a main city sandy beach. There are a few shoots during Swimming Marathon from Silo Island Krk -to Crikvenica with 500 swimmers who swim around 4 nautical miles from Island Krk to Crikvenica city swimming pool in the city centre. After that you can see a few shoots from a main city sandy beach, many excursion ships which makes tours to Island Krk every day and around Crikvenica Riviera as well.

Vidjet ćete nekoliko klipova snimljenih tijekom plivačkog maratona Šilo otok Krk - u Crikvenicu s 500 kupača koji plivaju oko 4 nautičke milje od otoka Krka do bazena grada Crikvenice u centru grada. Nakon toga možete vidjeti nekoliko video klipova s glavne gradske pješčane plaže, mnoge izletničke brodove koji svakodnevno obilaze otok Krk i plove duž Crikveničke rivijere.

“Crikvenica in Timelapse” video is made on my own initiative without any intention for tourism purposes, and serves as my unique video postcards about the City of Crikvenica from a slightly different dynamic perspective. This video shows 24 hour period of life in City of Crikvenica in special technique of footage that are made of images. For this movie was used about 20.000 photos captured on 20 locations around the city.
This project started three years ago, and with the help of a couple of my friends I finally completed it. And ofcourse special thanks to Dragan Fixa Pelić.

Crikvenica in Timelapse - video je napravljen na vlastitu inicijativu, bez ikakve namjere za turističke svrhe, te služi kao moja jedinstvena razglednica o gradu Crikvenici s malo drugačije dinamične perspektive. Ovaj video prikazuje 24 satno razdoblju života u Gradu Crikvenici u posebnoj tehnici snimke koje je izrađena od fotografija. Za ovaj film je korišten oko 20.000 fotografija snimljenih na 20 lokacija diljem grada.
Ovaj projekt započet je prije tri godine, i uz pomoć par mojih prijatelja napokon je završen. I naravno posebne zahvale Draganu Fixa Peliću.

Crikvenica Travel - Crikvenica (Croatian pronunciation: [ˈtsrikvɛnitsa]; Latin: Ad Turres)[1] is the largest settlement on the coast of the Vinodol coastal area, Croatia, and developed on the site of Roman era settlement and military base called Ad Turres. Population 7,121 (2001), total municipality population 11,348 with 90% Croats (2001). The city is situated on the Adriatic near Rijeka in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar county. In the last twenty years, due to urban expansion of Crikvenica itself and expansion of the nearby town of Selce, the two were merged into a mini-conglomerate.
Towns near Crikvenica include Kraljevica and Novi Vinodolski.
Old Crikvenica was originally an offshoot of the village of Kotor, which is located on a nearby hill and shares its name with that of the village.
The name of the town derives from the word for church (Croatian: crkva = church - in dialect crikva) of the monastery of the Pauline Fathers, which was built by Nikola Frankopan nearby in 1412. Besides the church and the monastery at the mouth of the Dubračina, the nearby port of Grižane grew up. In 1760 the local worthy moved from Bribir to Crikvenica and thus it became the centre of the whole Vinodol coast. In the 19th century Crikvenica began to attract many tourists, which brought about a turning point in its history. In 1877 a harbour was built in Crikvenica, in 1888 a bathing beach and as early as 1891 the first hotel had opened. In 1895 the Hotel Therapia was opened with 120 beds and a Hydrotherapy Institute. In 1902 the Hotel Crikvenica was built, in 1903 the Bellevue and in 1905 the Miramare. In 1906 Crikvenica became officially a health resort and due to its favourable climate, in the space of just 16 years Crikvenica became the most important resort on the riviera.[2] Today, together with Selce, it is one of the most attractive parts of the Kvarner coast, as well as of the North Adriatic coast of Croatia in general.
In the late 19th and early 20th century, Crikvenica was a district capital in the Modruš-Rijeka County of the Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia.
