North Carolina Croatan Wildlife from a Browning Trail Cam
Lots of wildlife activity around the pond in the Croatan National Forest. There were plenty of deer, foxes, racoons, and even a Carolina Panther kitten. I show off a Browning Strike Force HD Pro trail camera.

Croatan National Forest's Catfish Lake and trail cam video
Catfish Lake located in the heart of the Croatan National Forest is home to lots of diverse wildlife in eastern North Carolina. I show a panorama first, then watch one of the trail camera's wildlife activity for the last week of November 2019. There are foxes, Opossums and a couple of bucks that are definitely into the rutting season.

Croatan National Forest NC. Weetock Trail hike.
I do not own the rights to the song. So you are going to want to follow the metal that is nailed to the trees. The trail is very well marked until mile 7 where you have to really look for it. I hike 14.6 miles in 5 hours and 18 minutes. Saw 1 hiker, 2 dogs, birds, squirrels, lizards. I would recommend hiking, trail running and mountain biking on this trail. Very nice trail.

Copperhead cruised in the Croatan National Forest
The Copperhead (Agkistrodon contrix) is one of the more common venomous Snakes in the state of North Carolina, mostly due to the fact that they can be found in just about every county.
Despite the fact that they are a venomous pit viper, they have one of the weakest venoms of any venomous snake, and it is hardly ever fatal to humans if you are bitten. (Unless you are allergic to it)
Copperheads are also a very docile snake: If left alone, then they will leave you alone. Also a majority of Snakebites occur when the individual attempts to kill said snake.
