Lake Ohau to Queenstown
I had one last walk down to the Lake Ohau before we left in the morning.
Our next stop was in Omarama, This area is known for Merino sheep.
We crossed over Lindis Pass, the highest point on the South Island's state highway network.
There is a steep path up to a lookout point where there are scenic views of the countryside.
Along the highways there are frequent signs along the roads to remind drivers to drive on the left.
In Cromwell, there is giant sculpture of an apricot, apple, pear and nectarine in Cromwell called The Big Fruit. This area on New Zealand is known for its many fruit orchards and vineyards.
Later, we stopped at Cargo Brewery at Waitiri Creek for some wine tasting.
There was a beautiful lavender garden there.
The AJ Hackett Bungy Kawarau Bungy Centre is the original bungy jumping site.
We crossed over the Crown Range and arrived in Queenstown.
Jones' fruit shop hails Malaysian workers
In an interview with Citizen Journalists Malaysia (CJMY) at her fruit shop, Jones Eletheria, 69, said that she welcomes Malaysian workers because they are good workers and nice people.
Jones' well-known orchard and fruit shop is located in Central Otago, on the highway from Cromwell to Queenstown.
The orchard runs an orchard tour and you can pick fruit when in season.
There is large selection of fresh and dry fruits available all year round from the roadside stall.
Fruits, dried fruit, honey, fruit products and ornamental pine-cones are aplenty.
CJMY spoke to Vivian Yee, 24, a Malaysian from Kuala Lumpur who is here for 9 months work at Mrs Jones' fruit shop.

- reduce eye strain

Animal rights is the idea in which some, or all, non-human animals are entitled to the possession of their own existence and that their most basic interests—such as the need to avoid suffering—should be afforded the same consideration as similar interests of human beings.Its advocates oppose the assignment of moral value and fundamental protections on the basis of species membership alone—an idea known since 1970 as speciesism, when the term was coined by Richard D. Ryder—arguing that it is a prejudice as irrational as any other. They maintain that animals should no longer be viewed as property or used as food, clothing, research subjects, entertainment, or beasts of burden. Multiple cultural traditions around the world such as Jainism, Taoism, Hinduism, Buddhism and Animism also espouse some forms of animal rights.
In parallel to the debate about moral rights, animal law is now widely taught in law schools in North America, and several prominent legal scholars support the extension of basic legal rights and personhood to at least some animals. The animals most often considered in arguments for personhood are bonobos and chimpanzees.
