Cromwell Museum in Huntingdon
Oliver Cromwell Museum in Huntingdon is a tiny place but full of historic items relating to Oliver Cromwell himself who went to school in this very building. His boots and huge brimmed hat were the two highlights for me. Let me show you around.

Go-Karts & Supercars at Highlands Motorsport Park in Cromwell – New Zealand's Biggest Gap Year
Day 190: Ever been to a motorsport park in New Zealand? Well, join us for today’s episode where we go go-karting and drive around an international standard racing track at Highlands Motorsport Park in a supercar!

-- About this video --
Cromwell in New Zealand is full of surprises, including the Highlands Motorsport Park! Here, visitors can race each other in outdoor go-karting, as well as jumping into one of the seriously fast cars for a drive around the Highlands race track! Let’s do this!
The first activity we are trying is go-karting in Cromwell. The 650m track is an awesome place for go-karting in New Zealand and we have an awesome time being competitive and having a self-drive experience at Highlands in Cromwell. And FYI, Highlands Motorsport Park is only about an hour’s drive from Queenstown, so definitely worth considering for some motorsport near Queenstown.
Next, we do an activity called the Highlands Taxi where we jump into a Posche Cayenne Turbo with a professional race car driver and he gives us the taxi experience of the Highlands race track. We do one “slow” lap where our driver acts as a guide for the race track, then a fast lap to experience the race track the way it’s meant to be driven!
Finally, Robin is jumping into a McLaren 650s super car for the Supercar Fast Dash! He gets to experience the race track at full speed in this experience via supercar in New Zealand!
So what do you think of Highlands in Cromwell? Would you stop by to experience the thrills as part of your Cromwell travel itinerary? LUK in the comments!

This museum contains some real rarities! A Davis Divan, a Tippen Delta, Stanley Steamer, Carver One, Plymouth Prowler, Reliant Regal Mk1, 1949 Land Rover, 1957 Prince Skyline plus some much more common classics of yesteryear.
Started by Len Southward, it seems anything goes in this collection, based near Wellington, New Zealand. Visit for more information.

The remarkable New Zealand adventure continues, as I manage to track down (and just about avoid buying) one of my favourite Australian classics - the Holden Commodore VL, with Nissan Skyline RB30 power! I still can't quite believe I didn't buy it. Sadly, my bank balance didn't help...
I also do the tourist thing in Arrowtown and Cromwell. Both are well worth a visit.

Old Cromwell
Visitors can wander through the historic precinct to inspect buildings from 1860 to 1900 that reflect the town's gold mining and pioneering past. These include the London House Stables, Captain Barry's cottage, the Cobb & Co Store, Belfast Store and Jolly's Seed & Grain Store. In front of the restored town centre, a wharf provides a convenient departure point for tours of Lake Dunstan aboard a beautifully restored 1929 wooden motor launch.

NZ Museum Visit! The National Toy and Transport Museum, Wanaka (South Island)
One of the largest private collections of cars in the Southern Hemisphere, this museum combines toys, cars and trucks in frankly mind-blogging numbers. Favourite vehicles lurking within include a Nissan BE-1, Hino four-axle fire engine, Singer SM1500, Vauxhall E-type, Mitsuoka Viewt, Leyland P76, Austin Allegro and Princess and a Mitsubishi 1100F. I also discover a Borgward Isabella, Hansa and Goliath from Germany.
I did visit on a particularly grotty day, when many exhibits were sadly being stored outside while a new building is created. I was also at something of a low ebb, hence the general levels of grumpiness. I'm better now. Thank you.

(EP23) Vintage Museum, Lake Tekapo, new tyres! Bye baldies! - HubNut Goes Global (New Zealand)
This time, I visit the Geraldine Vintage Car & Machinery Museum, briefly visit the beautiul Lake Tekapo, find some roadside classics and then finally replace the front tyres on Betty - my 2001 Ford Fairmont (posh Falcon) AU. I also get the tracking checked and the fluid level of the transmission.
Thanks Geraldine. It was fun. This was nearly all recorded on my new DJI Osmo Action Camera, so I'm still finding my feet with it. Some improvements to be made.
