Crooked River Ranch RV Park
Crooked River Ranch RV Park is in the heart of Central Oregon. It is surrounded by beautiful cliffs, a great 18 hole golf course, and RVer's get free access to the onsite pool a short walk away. Prices were reasonable with most sites being Water/Electric and some being full hookup.

The most magical SpringsWaterfall somewhere in Crooked River Ranch Oregon.
As you can see here, these waterfalls are more like springs coming out of the canyon and dumping in to Crooked river, there is more waterfall that I found on the way here but not on this video.

Awesome Time Lapse - Powered Paragliding inches off the Crooked River - GoPro
Checkout the XP2 Quadcopter I'm now using for some of my aerial shots:
Ever wanted to know what it was like to fly just inches off of the river. Sure I could share the 5 mile, 15 minute version, but I feel this time lapse puts it into perspective just as much. I enjoyed this flight from Crooked River Ranch to Smith Rocks here in Central Oregon wondering just how many people each year really get to enjoy this section of river as I have.
Really need more flying buddies now that Byron moved out of the area. If anybody is interested in meeting up or getting started in this sport, just drop me a line. More information, photos and videos can be found on Byron's website at

Steelhead Falls
The long narrow canyon that surrounds the Deschutes River in the Steelhead Falls area pulls visitors away from nearby human influences and places them in a spectacular steep-sloped channel of unique character. Noise from human infrastructure is masked by the roar of the river at the falls, and hikers become entranced by the colors of the stream-side vegetation and the textured reds and browns of the cliff walls.
The Steelhead Falls Wilderness Study Area is a 3,240-acre area along the west side of Crooked River Ranch. This segment of the Deschutes River is designated “scenic” under the Oregon Wild and Scenic Rivers Act.
