ground effects on scooter
Going along Dallas Road near cruise ship terminal. PGO PMX Naked 50 with 70cc kit but I had the stock pipe on at the time.
To provide power for the ground FX lights and blinkers were converted to LED. That gave enough left over for the ground lights as well as power for the built-in iPhone charger in the trunk.

To quote ‘The Hollies’ – ‘The road is long, with many a winding turn … he ain’t heavy he’s my brother’. Then there’s a wife and a best mate all together in this West Australian blues/country/rock band, Blue Shaddy.
But with life’s winding road of twists and turns, kids and commitment to putting food on the table and paying the never ending bills, Blue Shaddy have managed to keep the wheels firmly on that road. And at this point in time feel that the stars or whatever it may be, have brought Blue Shaddy back together once again with the original line-up. Fresher and ready to take on the next stage.
It’s been some 27 years since Jim McClelland (singer/songwriter/guitarist), and brother Belly (harmonica), sat down with good friend Sandy (bass guitar, and now also Jim’s wife), around a kitchen table in a small farm house in the wheatbelt town of Kellerberrin. There they shared a drink or ten, jammed a few ‘Sonny Terry’ and ‘Brownie McGhee’ tunes and hatched a plan that was to become Blue Shaddy. It didn’t take them long to realise that a move to the city was inevitable, It wasn’t long before they auditioned Tasmanian drummer, Dean Wuksta and the Blue Shaddy team was complete.
With a chemistry within the band that can only be put down to kin, Blue Shaddy have only ever had the concern of replacing drummer’s as each in turn followed their own personal path. Having had the pleasure of playing with some of the best in the business, Chris Oldman, Conrad Parker, Rick Eastman, Angus Diggs, Arunachala Satgunasingam, Kanchana Karunaratna, and Callum Kramer, Blue Shaddy are blessed that their old mate, and exceptional drummer Dean Wuksta found his way back to the Shaddy family.
Blue Shaddy are a high energy blues, country, rock band that pull the audience right on board with them during their live shows. While Dean and Sandy hold a fat back groove one minute, then a loaded rolling freight train fang the next allowing Jim and Belly the freedom to go head to head trading guitar and harmonica licks with raw exuberance. While Jim shows his ‘balls to the wall’ style of guitar playing, belly moves like a cat on a hot bed of coals. Never a dull moment is usually the moto! If the audience isn’t dancing we’re doing something wrong.
Blue Shaddy have independently released four studio albums to date, and are currently working on some new material to be released in the not too distant future.
Blue Shaddy’s first album was showcased in the U.S through Tin Records. Their track ‘Howling Dog’ made it onto Tin Records’ 2007 ‘New Compilation’ album and in 2003, 46 seconds of the track was sold to MTV’s ‘Wildboyz’ TV series, the follow-up to the ‘Jackass’ TV series starring ‘Steve O’.
Whatever the gig, or wherever the gig, Blue Shaddy like to go home having made some new found mates with a smile on their faces and ready for good sit down until next time.
