Danville is located in the San Ramon Valley in Contra Costa County. It is one of the incorporated municipalities in California that uses “town” in its name instead of “city”.
The Iron Horse Regional Trail runs through Danville which extends from Dublin to Concord. Walkers, bikers, skaters, and joggers usually find the trail a source of outdoor recreation and exercise.
Danville is home to two main public high schools: Monte Vista High School and San Ramon Valley High School. The nearest B.A.R.T. station would be in Walnut Creek, Ca.
Iron Danville is also home to the Blackhawk Automotive Museum which is best known for its significant collection of classic, rare and unique automobiles. Danville has a golf course facility at Crow Canyon Country Club (CC) and there are nearby facilities at – Roundhill CC, Diablo CC, & Blackhawk CC. Finally, Mt. Diablo State Park’s south gate entrance is in Danville.

Secluded within a hidden valley and surrounded by hundreds of acres of open space, homes are nestled among picturesque foothills covered with ancient live oaks and fields of clustering wildflowers.
Hidden Valley homeowners also enjoy the use of the community's two tennis courts, pool and clubhouse, sport court, tot lot, and maintenance by the homeowners' association of all common areas including the hundreds of acres of open space.
Why do people love living in Hidden Valley? An active and friendly homeowners association sponsoring year 'round community activities and events for all ages; amazing neighborhood camaraderie...many families 'trade up and/or down' within the neighborhood as they find there is no community in Danville that can hold a candle to the lifestyle Hidden Valley has to offer; the close proximity to all 3 levels of school, town, 680, Mt. Diablo State Park, Blackhawk Plaza and Bishop Ranch. Beyond that, where else can one hear the cows moo and see deer and turkey on a nearly daily basis yet be just a couple of minutes to town and all modern day conveniences?
