Crowborough Common, East Sussex, Fun and Games In The Snow Jan 20th 2013
Crowborough Common aka Beacon Golf Course, has many hills suitable for tobogganing and snow boarding. This was the scene this afternoon with lots of locals (and their dogs) enjoying them selves in some nice still failing snow. You would of had more footage but I was worried that the camera was getting too wet.
Best Peaceful Walks - Crowborough Common, East Sussex
These are pictures I took on Crowborough Common, East Sussex, near where I live. This is a great peaceful place to walk with hardly anyone around. This area has been called the highlands of the south, being one of the highest areas in East Sussex at 220 metres. It has a feel a bit like the Scottish highlands but not so cold! The sound track is from the Just The Tune Collection of traditional tunes recorded by myself and Rick Townend during 2003. More info at

Crowborough Carnival 2012, part 2 procession departs Crowboro to Maresfield & Uckfield
This is a fairly full record of the Crowborough Carnival procession held on 8th Sept 2012. It is a yearly charitable event run by the Crowborough Bonfire Society and supported by other local bonfire societies and organisations. People from these various groups dress up in fancy dress costumes and process through the streets. The second part of the procession (after dark) has the addition of lighted torches. Some of the costumes are quite spectacular and clever, the event is really looked forward to and enjoyed by residents and participants alike I hope you enjoy this video.
The various bonfire societies and organisations can be seen in the parts of this video as follows:

CROWBOROUGH GEST CLUB TRIAL DEC 1
empire scooter club crowborough no.2
In 2007 I had the following to say: The Empire SC is this year celebrating its 25th anniversary (1982-2007). Formed in Crowborough, East Sussex in October 1982 The Empire SC quickly became one of the most active clubs in the South East of England. Although based in Crowborough The Empire had Lambretta and Vespa owning members from Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Edenbridge and other outlying areas. In 2012 we passed the 30 year mark and members are still doing rallys in 2014. Essentially this latest video is the same as the original but without the captions which enables better viewing of the lads, lasses and their scoots.

Walshes Park, Alderbrook Crowborough East Sussex 2018
Walshes Park Is a new recreational area that open in the Alderbrook area of Crowborough earlier the Year (2018). It is an Ideal place for dog walking but a bit difficult to find due to the lack of signs. I eventually found a way in via The Children's playground at the end of Adam close. It has a raised wooden walkway so it will still be usable in wet weather when the ground is muddy.
The background music I used in the video is a traditional tune called Cricket on the Hearth played by Rick Townend
