CCTV shows two man breaking in Whites Hair and Beauty in Glenfield
David White, 60, (inset) was told no further action would be taken against two men arrested over a burglary at his business - despite his providing police with CCTV, photos and forensics (main pictures). The pair were arrested in connection with the burglary at Whites Hair and Beauty in Glenfield in June last year. Leicestershire Police prepared a case for the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) after receiving the material. Mr White, who provided officers with photos and forensics from store, launched a stinging attack on the CPS for allowing the suspected burglars to avoid a court appearance

Cyclists are often criticised for pavement cycling but on Butterley Street, Leeds (behind the Crown Point Shopping Centre), it's much more likely to be the cars that are being driven along the pavement.

Psycho with CHAINSAW attempts to CUT a woman as her children screams, in a REAL LIFE horror movie
(WARNING GRAPHIC): A psychopathic man in UK uses a CHAINSAW to chase a 28 year-old mother in their home, as her children watch and scream in horror. The whole incident was caught on camera after a dispute between the two neighbors.

Man brandishes CHAINSAW at mum in street as he returns to scene of neighbour row 'like something out of horror movie'
Jess Appleby, 28, recorded the blood curdling moment Stewart Palmer burst through the side door of her house in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, while brandishing a chainsaw
A man brandished a chainsaw as he burst through the door of his neighbour's house after a row among those who live on the street descended into chaos.
Shocking video captured by mum Jess Appleby, 28, shows the blood-curdling moment Stewart Palmer tries to burst into her house through a side door wielding the nightmarish weapon.
Her partner Dean Brown claims only his last-minute heroics saved her and her young son Archie from a grisly fate.
Dean said: It shook me up for a while because he nearly got in the kitchen.
If I hadn't have kicked him and shut the door he would have cut us all up with that chainsaw.
I had to look after her and her son. I did what I had to do.
In a series of three videos - shot by Jess and a neighbour - the confrontation quickly escalates from an argument in her front garden to a full-blown fist fight in the street of their Barnsley estate.
Footage shows bald thug Palmer - wearing an Ellesse zip-up top - approaching the woman's window as a child shouts you just spat at me from inside.
The young mum and model charges out of the house through a side gate to confront him, repeatedly saying get off my property as she tries to push him away.
Dean then comes out and the two men begin fighting.
But suddenly the camera drops as another woman rushes in and the two start to scrap.
Footage filmed by the next-door neighbour shows the fracas unfolding, with the two women trading blows whilst witnesses egg them on and children in the background are heard crying.
Others run in to break it up but struggle to separate the two duelling women, and soon the two men start fighting again.
Eventually the situation begins to calm down but the four feisty sluggers continue to exchange accusations over the garden fence.
At this point, Palmer walks away, but another clip shows him charging up to the house with a roaring chainsaw before the video cuts out.
A spokesman for the CPS confirmed Palmer was jailed for the shocking attack. He said: Stewart Palmer was jailed on July 20 at Sheffield Crown Court for 24 months. He was charged with affray, having an offensive weapon and criminal damage to property.

Thief Steals £100k Cash Machine Then Rams Two Police Cars During Pursuit. A man who ripped a cash machine containing an estimated £100,000 from a shop before ramming two police cars has been jailed. Taron McAuley was part of a group who used two stolen 4x4s to steal the ATM from the One Mobile store in Birmingham in March. The thieves tied a strap around the cash machine before dragging it out using the stolen cars. Police were alerted to the incident by witnesses - and despite the snowy conditions arrived within minutes. The gang fled the scene but the cash machine came loose and was left lying in the road. One of the cars, driven by McAuley, rammed two police cars before hitting a lamppost. He ran off from the car and hid from officers but was found shortly after and arrested. McAuley pleaded guilty to burglary and sentenced to four years and eight months at Birmingham Crown Court on Wednesday 19 September. Uk Politics World News GE2018 Brexit G20 OJW Donations Welcome.

Recovery After The Flooding - Kirkstall, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England - 28th December, 2015
After several days of heavy rain on already saturated ground, the River Aire (like many rivers in Northern England) broke its banks in several places in Leeds (as well as elsewhere). The Leeds suburb of Kirkstall was badly flooded with dramatic footage of floodwaters flowing from Kirkstall down Kirkstall Road, and through Burley towards Leeds city centre. The Kirkstall Bridge pub, Kirkstall Forge shopping centre and the Airedale railway line were all flooded.
This film was taken around Kirkstall on Monday 28th December, after the flood water had subsided. It highlights the after effects of the flood and the ongoing recovery efforts by volunteers and professionals alike.
The film begins at Kirkstall Abbey where huge puddles of water from the River Aire as well as a ‘tide mark’ of sticks and other debris mark the extent of the floodwater in the grounds of the historic building. The grass is covered in muddy silt in places, and several dead fish lay in the mud. Adjacent the River Aire is running at capacity, not in flood at this stage but very full.
Following the path of the river is the weir, from here the high water mark can be seen in the trees and bushes as plastic bags and other debris are visible above the flowing water beneath. Beyond here the footage goes through woodland along the Goit (usually a small stream flowing from and eventually back into the River Aire).
Emerging from the woodland, the film goes to the Kirkstall Forge shopping complex, which is fully in recovery mode. There are still large puddles and mud, but the clean-up operation is underway. Outside of the Card Factory shop, much spoiled stock is piled high. Further along, volunteers are disposing of spoiled items and cleaning up at the flooded Kirkstall Bridge pub.
The view from Kirkstall Bridge is of a very full River Aire and beyond this, flooded fields. On either side of the river Aire is the clean up operation at the Kirkstall Bridge pub, and the pumping and recovery operation on the Airedale railway line by Network Rail employees and various contractors.
Crossing the bridge, the River flows towards Leeds, as pumps from the railway line transfer the Aire’s water back to where it belongs. Comedically suspended from a tree branch hanging over the river is a washed up yellow plastic sign, which reads ‘Caution Wet Floor’!
From here the film moves around to the still flooded pitch of the Leeds Rugby Academy.
The final shot of the film was taken further away, up Kirkstall Road towards Horsforth, where a sign for the new Kirkstall Forge housing development reads ‘A brand new neighbourhood in a stunning riverside location’. I end the film with three question marks, which stem from my puzzlement at the questionable wisdom of building houses and concreted surfaces next to a river, which is evidently prone to flooding.
According to the Environment Agency, the River Aire went on to reach 2.93 metres at Crown Point in Leeds city centre at 23:30 on 26/12/15. It's typical height is between 0.53 and 1.35 metres.

Two sentenced following store ram-raids
Two men have been jailed following a number of break-ins at stores across the country – some of which included vehicles being driven into the premises.
Jamie Sylvester, 34, and Wayne Underwood, 49, were sentenced to a total of 10 years and two months after each pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit burglary.
The charge relates to four burglaries and one attempted burglary which happened across Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Worcestershire in August and September this year.
Items stolen included thousands of pounds worth of electrical equipment including iPads and laptops as well as headphone sets and earphones.
Sylvester, of no fixed address, and Underwood, of Cherry Tree Court, Swadlincote, Leicestershire, admitted the offence when they previously appeared at Leicester Crown Court. Today, at the same court, Sylvester and Underwood were each sentenced to five years and one month imprisonment.
A Serious Crime Prevention Order of five years was also granted in the case of each defendant.
One of the burglaries happened at Curry’s PC World in St George’s Retail Park, Leicester, on 17 August. Police were called to the premises just after 11pm to find a silver Mitsubishi Space Star vehicle inside the premises having being driven through the metal roller shutters and glass.
Cabinets had been forced open with 34 laptops and 18 sets of headphones valued at a total of more than £17,000 taken. It was found the vehicle used in this incident had been bought in Leicester earlier that day.
The day before the incident, on 16 August, it was discovered in the morning that the rear entrance of the store had been attacked in an attempted burglary. No entry was gained. CCTV footage showed two people attempting to try and force the door open with crow bars the previous evening.
The other burglary offences were committed at:
- Sainsbury’s in Oadby, Leicester, on 13 August. CCTV showed two people using weapons to attempt to smash glass at the entrance to the petrol station kiosk. Entry was gained leading to a smoke screen being activated. Nothing was taken from the scene.
- Curry’s PC World in Mansfield, Nottingham, on 28 August. Enquiries carried out by Nottinghamshire Police showed a red Renault Megane vehicle had been driven through the main entrance of the premises just after 12.35am. More than £5,000 worth of earphones and headphones were stolen. It was found the vehicle used had been bought on the evening of 27 August.
- Curry’s PC World in Evesham, Worcestershire on 4th September. Two people were seen on CCTV taking over £23,000 pounds of electrical equipment including iPads, tablets and laptops.
Police investigative work including analysing CCTV, identifying the vehicles used, carrying out phone work and obtaining forensic samples linked the defendants to the crimes leading to their arrests.
Detective Constable Fiona Day said: “Sylvester and Underwood had no concern for others or for the dangers they were causing when they carried out their crimes - they were only concerned about what they could gain. The consequences of their actions could have been far worse.
“This has been a thorough investigation involving both Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire Police and I want to thank everyone who has worked on this case. I also want to thank the victims of these offences, and witnesses, who have fully co-operated with us and assisted us throughout this investigation leading to these convictions.”
A confiscation order of £310 was made against Underwood and a confiscation order of £1 was made against Sylvester.
