Tauranga, New Zealand
The video shows the embarkation port, Auckland, the interiors of the cruise ship and Tauranga, first port of call. FromTauranga we went 35 miles to Rotorua to visit the Maori Villeges and Pohutu Geyser in the Whakarewarewa Thermal Valley. Along the way we visited a kiwi fruit displayed orchard.
(The Maori are the indigenous Polynesian people of New Zealand).

People love to go to Mount Maunganui to see the great ocean liners up close as they depart the harbour entrance at sunset. I think it is fun to people watch too. Shot with a cheap Panasonic 72x Full HD Camcorder on a Benro Fluid Head Tripod.

MT MAUNGANUI AND TAURANGA NEW ZEALAND | Our New Home In New Zealand
This video is a quick introduction to our new home in New Zealand. We are living in Tauranga and are based in Mt. Maunganui New Zealand. This is one of the most popular destinations in New Zealand due to its climate, beaches and outdoor activities.
First I begin with a tour of our new house. Then I begin at Pilot Bay to summit the mount ( Mount Maunganui ) for an amazing view over the Bay of Plenty . Afterwards I show some clips from the suburb before heading to mount main beach .
I then visit the Tauranga CBD to round the video off.

Touring HOBBITON & Tauranga, NZ - CRUISE Part 4 // Ovation of the Seas
Going to tour Hobbiton during our port visit in Tauranga, New Zealand!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Hey guys! It's Abbey!
In this video, we go on our only excursion we booked with the ship - to go see Hobbiton! If you don’t know, Hobbiton is where parts of The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies were filmed! Our visit was just as magical as seeing it in the movies, and to my surprise, it was an absolute oasis out in the middle of some farmland. The forces perspective tricks used in creating the set were really interesting. Larger hobbit holes were used in scenes with the hobbits in order to make them look smaller, while the small hobbit holes were used in scenes with Gandalf in order to make him look like the towering wizard he is! After our tour, we visited The Green Dragon Inn to cool down before heading to the gift shop. After that, we headed back to our ship and had an impromptu tour of Tauranga’s beach from our lovely bus driver. Such an awesome visit!
Enjoy!

Bay Explorer | Tauranga | New Zealand
Your BEST DAY EVER begins early-morning as you’re welcomed aboard the Bay Explorer at the Tauranga waterfront. We cruise through the beautiful harbour, & past the landmark volcanic mountain Mauao. We explore the pristine Bay of Plenty coastline to watch marine wildlife which may include seabirds, penguins, seals, dolphins, whales, sunfish, school fish, sharks and orca. We’ll be pointing out all that they see so you won’t miss a thing! Mid-day, we anchor at a local island paradise and fire up the BBQ, while you relax and unwind with a beverage from our licenced bar. With everyone back on board, we’ll raise the anchors and then head back to our Tauranga moorings, continually watching the wildlife, while passengers mix with the crew and reflect on the day’s discoveries.
