Cruit Island Golf Club - Hole 3 (Ireland Golf)
Third hole at Cruit Island.

Cruit Island (pronounced Critch) is an incredible, secluded, 9 hole course on the Northwest of Ireland. Having lived in Pebble Beach, I can say it is a very raw Cypress Point / Pebble Beach atmosphere on a great links course.

This is why you come to Ireland. The video was shot on number 2 tee and within 15 minutes the rain stopped but gusty winds were with us the rest of our round. Great 9 hole links course!
Cruit Island Golf Trip Ireland - Hidden Links Golf
About 40 minutes farther north from Portnoo on the Donegal Coast lies a golf course that can best be described as simply an indisputable fact–the greatest 9-hole course on earth. This is Cruit Island Golf Club (pronounced “Crutch” Island), a layout that wins the title of “THE most Hidden Links” not only in Ireland but perhaps the entire British Isles. Connected to the coast by a short causeway, the setting at Cruit Island Golf Club rivals and perhaps even exceeds in some ways places like Old Head and Pebble Beach, with a green fee that is literally 1/10th of the price.
Video segment from the Hidden Links Golf Guide to Ireland featuring what is undoubtedly the world's most scenic 9-hole course, Cruit Island Golf Club, rivaling even Pebble Beach. Located on the remote County Donegal coast in northwest Ireland. Narrated by Renton Laidlaw. Copyright Hidden Links, Inc.
