THROUGHOUT HISTORY IN ALL CORNERS OF THE WORLD MINERAL WATER HAS BEEN USED FOR THERAPUTIC PURPOSES
THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT REASONS FOR SOMEONE TO USE A MINERAL SPRING. SOME SIMPLY WANT TO DESTRESS, BALANCE, AND RECUPERATE. WHILE OTHERS SEEK A NATURAL WAY TO REPAIR DAMAGED SKIN. THERE ARE EVEN THOSE WHO USE THERMAL MINERAL WATER AS AN ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE FOR A LIFE CHANGING DISEASE.
HERE AT CRYSTAL HOT SPRINGS WE ARE VERY LUCKY TO HAVE THE HIGHEST MINERAL CONTENT SPRING IN THE WORLD.
Our natural hot spring ranges in temperature from 120 – 134°F (51°C – 57°C) and contains the highest mineral content (46,000 mg/L) found in any hot spring in the World.
In 5 minutes 8,400 gallons of hot spring water surfaces
In a 24 hour period there are 900,000 lbs worth of minerals carried to the surface with 2.4 million gallons of hot water.
This hot spring water is coming from 8,000 feet below the earth’s surface and is estimated to be around 22,000 years old.
Less than 50 feet from our natural hot spring surfaces a 65°F – 75°F (18°C – 24°C) cold spring. The cold spring has a slightly higher rate of flow, every 5 minutes 9,200 gallons of water surface.
In a 24 hour period, 2.6 million gallons of cold water surface.
These two springs surfacing this close to each other are the second closest hot and cold spring in the world.
These two springs are what fill our 3 mineral hot tubs, large soaker pool and an Olympic size pool.

Crystal Hot Springs is 12 miles north of Brigham City in the town of Honeyville, Utah. It has been run as a commercial enterprise since the beginning of the 20th Century. Before that the area surrounding the hot springs was a common gathering spot for the Shoshone-Bannock Native American tribes. Once a year they would gather at the springs and share stories and history of their ancestors. The building of the Transcontinental Railroad in the mid-19th century saw the construction of cedar tubs by Chinese laborers of Central Pacific Railroad. Numerous railroad workers stopped over to soak and the recover in the warm mineral water. In 1901 the springs were established as a business. During World War II President Roosevelt, a huge advocate of the healing abilities of mineral hot springs, started a rehabilitation program for wounded veterans. During the war, buses brought hundreds of soldiers to the spring. Today Crystal Hot Springs is still busy and on your visit to this popular Utah vacation destination you will find the pools filled with families and travelers.

Welcome To Honeyville Utah! Near Crystal Hot Springs & Brigham City!
Honeyville is a small farming community located in northern Utah near the Idaho border. It was established in 1863. Most of the original settlers were farmers who raised sugar beets, potatoes, cattle, horses and sheep. There are still farmers in the community today but the majority of the population is now made up of many other professions. Many enjoy working outside the area but still living in a smaller community like Honeyville. Even as the city continues to grow, it still maintains the small town feel and closeness with neighbors. Many residents move to Honeyville to enjoy country life mainly, having horses and other farm animals.

My best days as Dad are when I can coerce my children into spending time with me.
Once again the background music was inspired by a song on the ride up, this one from my daughter's playlist: Ocean by Martin Garrix featuring Khalid. No copyright intended.
Crystal Hot Springs
Our little family love a WARM place to swim. Crystal Hot Springs in a new family go to. It's not too far from where we live so we can make a day trip of it. I also LOVE that they aren't too uptight about who can or can't ride the slides. Most places of high restrictions and no floaties allowed. At Crystal, our entire family can slide and we have so much fun! and like I said before, It's warm so the kids don't get too cold too quick like they do at a rec center.
Enjoy!
USU My Friends - Sadie - Crystal Hot Springs
Winter's at Utah State University can get pretty cold. Biology major, Sadie, goes to nearby Crystal Hot Springs, to soak in the natural hot springs on a cold night. She ends up having just as much fun as she was expecting R & R. GO AGGIES!
-----------
Since 1888, Utah State University established itself as a premier research institution known through the world for its intellectual and technological leadership. USU’s main campus is in Logan, with an additional 33 campuses and centers throughout Utah. As long as WiFi is available, you can be an Aggie anywhere through USU Online.
USU competes in 16 NCAA Division I sports. Our student section, the HURD, is one of the loudest and rowdiest in the nation. The diehards become True Aggies by kissing on the block “A” on homecoming. Adrenaline junkies sled down Old Main hill between classes or rock climb outside. And everyone eats Aggie Ice Cream - even with a foot of snow on the ground.
