The Crystal Mosque or Masjid Kristal is a mosque in Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu, Malaysia. A grand structure made of steel, glass and crystal. The mosque is located at Islamic Heritage Park on the island of Wan Man. The mosque was constructed between 2006 and 2008. It was officially opened on 8 February 2008 by 13th Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin of Terengganu. It has the capacity to accommodate over 1,500 worshipers at a time.

The Crystal Mosque - Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia
This is the Crystal Mosque located in Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu, Malaysia. It is located on Wan Mam island, a reclaimed sand island and surrounded by The Islamic Heritage Park. The Mosque has 4 minarets each having a crystal sphere located at the top of each. Inside there is a huge crystal chandelier and the outside walls are all made of etched glass.
BRATS: Holy-stic Attraction: Terengganu's Crystal Mosque
The BRATs were brought to one of Kuala Terengganu's most famous landmark, the floating Crystal Mosque on Wan Man Island. They produced this video after the trip.
BRATs is a young journalist programme organised by R.AGE. We organise hold workshops a year, each in a different city in Malaysia, the latest one being Kuala Terengganu in June 2013.
Journalists from R.AGE gave the 40 participants a crash course in journalism - interviewing skills, photography, videography, social media, etc. We then sent them out for field assignments, from which they were required to produce articles, photos as well as videos - like this one.

Masjid Kristal's Crystal Effect | My Mosque
The Crystal Mosque in Terengganu is actually made of glass, but it gets its name by the way the light reflects to look like crystal.
Although the domes are made of glass, the way the sun reflects on it gives the mosque its crystal effect. The construction is influenced by Moorish and Gothic design elements. Visitors awe at the structure, with most stating that by day or by night, the Crystal Mosque provides a magnificent and fantastic view.

Crystal Mosque and River Cruise : Terengganu Malaysia

Tourist to the Crystal Mosque in Pulau Wan Man here now have the option to take a boat ride to the tourist site with the introduction of the special river cruise. The cruise will offer a stunning view of Crystal Mosque from the Terengganu river. The boat carrying 12 passengers would ply through the scenic Terengganu River while stopping over at the state museum and other interesting spots along the river during an hour journey that starts and ends at the jetty near to Crystal Mosque.
