Cub Creek Rock Art Panel, Jensen Utah
This video documents my 2nd visit to a particular petroglyph and pictograph panel along the Cub Creek, North of Jensen, Utah. This panel is located in the Dinosaur National Monument, not too far from the main rock art panels that people visit there. This visit occurred during the Summer Solstice, when I went into the Monument after other sites were clouded out.
Head of Sinbad Pictograph
Another Adventure into the Utah desert on the big Triumph in search of ancient rock art in the San Rafael Swell. The Pictographs on the Head of Sinbad Panel are very mysterious images, they are attributed to the Barrier Canyon Culture, and are at least 3,000 to 9,000 years old. They are also among the finest examples of prehistoric art in the world. The Head of Sinbad is close to pristine condition. You can even see the brushstrokes on some of the figures.

Fremont Granary, Dinosaur Monument
This video documents the first time I ever visited this Fremont Granary in the Dinosaur National Monument. I had heard about this granary from members of the local archaeological group and have even seen a photo of it, taken by Dr. Seager about 15 years earlier. I had been looking for this granary in a nearby area over the last year or so, but I was never in the right location to spot it. This time, I thought I knew the area to search. I was wrong. But, I did find it in the 2nd area that I looked. This visit was on Summer Solstice, after some rock art panels were clouded out.
Temple Mountain Pictographs
Slideshow of the pictograph panel in the South Wash of Temple Mountain near Green River, Utah. The Barrier Canyon style rock art at the site dates back to between 8,000 bce and 400 ce.
Black Dragon Pictograph
I traveled to Black Dragon Wash on my Triumph Tiger Dual Sport motorcycle to see these pictographs (painted onto) Fremont Indian style and Barrier Canyon style.
Black Dragon Wash features some of the most interesting Indian rock art on the San Rafael Swell. The wash is named for the Black Dragon, a pictograph that resembles a winged dragon. The Black Dragon Canyon is located near Green River. The canyon has pictographs left by ancient Fremont Indians, who inhabited Emery County from about 500 to 1300 AD and Barrier Canyon Indians from 4,000 to 9,000 BC.

Dinosaur National Park in Utah
I'm hiking with one of my sons and two of my grandsons in one of our favorite places to fish. High canyon walls add solitude. This is far off the beaten path.
