What’s the best way to explore a new island? We had barely dropped the hook at the small Puerto Rican island of Culebra before 2 locals approached us in their boat. It turns out they had been watching our videos for years! Little did we know that Nestor and Annabell would become our family for the next few days. Showing us all the secret spots of this incredible island, cooking us local food and getting deep into some boat projects. I had a lot of fun putting this episode together so hope you enjoy :D

Culebra and Culebrita | Sailing Luna Sea | S2 E17 | Exploring the Spanish Virgin Islands
Come with us as we check out a couple of our favorite islands so far: Culebra and Culebrita in the Spanish Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico
We hike up to a light house, hit the Jacuzzi and of course sneak in some snorkeling. This is some of the clearest water we've seen since we left the Bahamas!

Culebra Adventures with Sailing UMA - Ep. 55 RAN Sailing
As our paths crossed with Sailing UMA we decided to check out the island Culebra, Spanish Virgin Islands, together both by road and by the sea! We rented a golf cart that we had to push to go up the hills and went to some of Culebras pretty beaches. Then we sailed around the island to the small islands Cayo Luis Peña and Culebrita. Such pretty, pretty islands! And I almost forgot, we found a bomb! :)
We are a Swedish couple who wanted a different kind of life. So we moved aboard our sailboat RAN, a custom built aluminium Beason 40, and untied the lines in the middle of the Swedish winter and started to sail south along the coast of Europe. There is no set route and we will go where the wind and our minds take us.

In this video we spend a couple days on the island of Culebra, which is just off the Eastern Coast of Puerto Rico. We rent a golf cart and explore the island and tour several beaches!! This has become one of our favorite islands in all of the Eastern Caribbean and we definitely recommend you visit if you have an chance.
Hi, I'm Tyler, and I live on s/v Sail Pending with my Mom and Dad. We've sailed down the ICW and through the Eastern Caribbean Island chain and now we are planning to cruise through the Western Caribbean and beyond.
Over the years my parents have taught me our boat systems and now I am the one who runs the boat. (With their supervision of course). Running a boat and knowing the systems is pretty straight forward to me, because this is how I have grown up.
My parents were both commercial pilots and flight instructors and they say that you don't really understand systems and maneuvers until you are able to use words to explain them to others. So, now they want me to be able to teach others about our systems and operations pertaining to running a boat.
That is why I am making these videos. It's part of my boat schooling curriculum.

New Horizons Thru Puerto Rico to Culebra Passage by Sailing JAEKA, week 21
It was a busy week for us. First, we sailed back to San Juan to pick up ordered parts, thinking we will get stuck down there for a week or so, but no. We received everything within just few days. I finally was able to visit a Casa Blanca, house-museum and the oldest house in Puerto Rico. And, we moved forward and had an amazing sailing day to Culebra.
We are an international couple - Jack (from France), Kateryna (from Ukraine). We have been crossing this wonderful life together since 10 years. Finally (after many years of dreaming) we are living a true life. We have a plan to sail across all oceans (almost), and will be happy to share this adventurous lifestyle with you!

Dinghy Dock in Culebra, Puerto Rico
The Dinghy Dock is a bar and restaurant in the town of Dewey, on the island of Culebra, Puerto Rico. It is a pleasant spot to visit for a drink or a meal. It gets it's name from people driving dinghys over from boats that are moored nearby and docking, so they can eat, or fill up jugs with fresh water to bring back to their boats. There are many large tarpon (Zabalos) that hang around waiting for a free meal. Many are around four feet long and weighing about forty pounds I'm guessing. I was feeding them pieces of yuca fries that came with our meal.
Sailing to Culebra, Culebrita and Isla Palomino
Some friends and I bareboat chartered a Hunter 33 from Fajardo Puerto Rico through Sail Caribe and sailed to Culebra, Culebrita and back to Isla Palomino before returning to Fajardo.
CULEBRA ISLAND Beaches and Snorkeling
CULABRA ISLAND!!!
What an amazing location to for finding some of the best beaches that Puerto Rico has to offer. Our goal for Culebra was to visit the best beaches, snorkeling spots and places to get good food. Our journey took us to Honeymoon Beach, Tamarindo, Tamarindo Grande, Carlos Rosario, and the famous Flamenco Beach. We rented a Jeep for $80 a day which gave us the best flexibility to make our way around the island. We also had the opportunity to go listen to the whales with a local guide. This is a really amazing island, and well worth a visit to get there.
