Striking Modern Design: Triumph Palace Apartment in Moscow
Envisioned by designers Alexei Nikolashina, Alexandra Fedorova and Irina Shumaeva, this highly modern apartment is one of the sought after accommodation spaces in Moscow's famous Triumph Palace building. The chromatic harmony of this project is achieved by white walls and floors, contrasted subtly by wooden accents and strongly by a dark-yellow TV and bookcase unit. The living area is minimalist and communicates with the kitchen, separated only by an elegant wooden bar, suspended more than one meter above the floor. State-of-the-art appliances are available for the ones who wish to cook here, although this is a crib that inspires elegant wines and eccentric take-out food, rather than mess and heavy cooking smells. One of the first animation satirising social malpractices in the Soviet system preluding the Chruchev dawn of the early sixties. Also one of the early puppet-animations allowed again after the death of Stalin in 1953. Curious is that in a certain scene the animation mentions a TV registration of Arcady Raikin (1911-1987) the much loved Soviet equivalent of Charly Chaplin, who, as one of the only, made comedies satirising Soviet malpractices in his Leningrad theatre, throughout the Stalin Era, without having gotten imprisoned, or worse. He was one of very few, if not the only, who got away with it. ( where, biggest satire of all, Chaplin himself didn't in the US of the 50's)

Комедийный художественный фильм Девчата, снятый в 1961 г., в СССР режиссёром Юрием Чулюкиным по одноимённой повести Б. Бедного.
На северные лесозаготовки приезжает Тося Кислицына — выпускница Симферопольского кулинарного училища, сирота, совсем девчонка, — умница, настоящий товарищ. На первых же танцах она отбривает местного кумира — лучшего бригадира Илью Ковригина, и начинается у них любовь-борьба, в лучших традициях советских лирических комедий.
Первый раз комедию показали в марте 1962 года в зале ЦДК. На премьеру пришли все, кроме Инны Макаровой. Она была обижена за то, что убрали финальную сцену её расставания с женихом. Картина сразу понравилась зрителям и даже критикам. Но высокое начальство посчитало, что комедия чересчур бытовая и мелковата для советского экрана, поэтому фильму была присвоена третья прокатная категория.
За рубежом картина имела успех. Получила приз Эдинбургского кинофестиваля и приз кинофестиваля в Мар-дель-Плата. Зарубежные газеты называли Румянцеву «Чарли Чаплин в юбке», а итальянцы — «русской Джульеттой Мазиной».

Impeachment trial of President Trump | Jan. 22, 2020 (FULL LIVE STREAM)
After a debate on the rules of the trial, opening arguments start Jan. 22 in the Senate. After opening arguments, senators will have 16 hours to ask questions in writing. Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. will read the questions out loud, and the appropriate side — defense or prosecution — can answer them.
President Trump was impeached by the House of Representatives in December for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Impeachment does not mean that the president has been removed from office. In the next phase, the Senate must hold a trial to make that determination. A Senate impeachment trial has happened only two other times in American history and once in the modern era. At the center of the Democrats’ case is that Trump sought to withhold military assistance and an Oval Office meeting until Ukraine announced investigations into former vice president Joe Biden and his son.

Meet John Doe - Full Movie - GREAT QUALITY (1941)
Meet John Doe is a 1941 American comedy drama film directed and produced by Frank Capra, and starring Gary Cooper and Barbara Stanwyck. The film is about a grassroots political campaign created unwittingly by a newspaper columnist with the involvement of a hired homeless man and pursued by the paper's wealthy owner. It became a box office hit and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Story. It was ranked #49 in AFI's 100 Years... 100 Cheers. It was the first of two features Capra made for Warner Brothers, after he left Columbia Pictures. His second film for Warners was an adaptation of the Broadway play Arsenic and Old Lace and was filmed in 1941 but not released until 1944 because the producers of the play wouldn't allow the film to be shown until the production closed.
PLOT
A reporter (Barbara Stanwyck) writes a fictitious column about someone named John Doe, who is distraught at America's neglect of the little people and plans to kill himself. The newspaper then hires a ballplayer-turned-hobo (Gary Cooper) to pose as John Doe. In a series of radio addresses written by a publisher with fascist leanings, Doe captures the public's imagination. When he finally realizes he has been used, Doe comes to his senses and becomes the man he never knew he could be.

Fawn Krieger is a NY-based artist, whose multi-genre works examine themes of touch, ownership and exchange. She received her BFA from Parsons School of Design, and her MFA from Bard College’s Milton Avery Graduate School of the Arts. Her work has been exhibited at The Kitchen, Art in General, Nice & Fit Gallery, The Moore Space, Von Lintel Gallery, the Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University and more. Her work has been featured in the New York Times, Artforum, Art in America, Sculpture Magazine, NY Arts, Flash Art, and Texte zur Kunst. Krieger has received numerous grants, including those from Art Matters Foundation, John Anson Kittredge Educational Fund, and the Jerome Foundation. She serves as the Grants Officer and Education Director at The Keith Haring Foundation. Her current project, a line of experimental workwear she designs and fabricates herself called OUTFIT, is presented in the form of a mail order economy, the first catalogue of which she produced through her residency at SVA's RisoLab.
Harvey Redding's art and design work has been shown at the Yale University Library, the Centre George Pompidou, the Cooper Union, the Leslie-Lohman Gay and Lesbian Art Museum’s Project Space, and is in the collections of the Librairie National, Paris, the Austrian Museum of Applied Arts, Vienna and the New York City Public Library, New York.
His design and curatorial credits range from Barbie Doll's 30th Pink Jubilee Birthday Party fashion retrospective at Lincoln Center for Mattel Toys and a traveling museum for Hasbro's GI Joe action figure, to the history-making photography retrospective, Berlin on Berlin, for the legendary gay sex icon, Peter Berlin. Publishing credits include Purgatory Pie Press and Bruno Gmuender.
Thu Tran is a visual artist based in NY and an animator for Super Deluxe. She makes videos, installations, video games, and comics. She was co-creator and host of psychedelic television cooking series Food Party for IFC and Late Night Munchies for MTV. She has held residencies at The Clocktower Gallery, The Ace Hotel, Bemis Center, SPACES Cleveland, and Art Farm Nebraska. Her installation at The Museum of Moving Images, “Mutant Leftovers” was called “gross but mesmerizing” by the Creator’s Project. A collaborator of Babycastles, she has helped produce game installations and workshops, including “Meowton: a Cat Town” at La Gaite Lyrique in Paris, and “Cyborg Workshop” at WORM Rotterdam. Her latest games are in collaboration with Ivan Safrin and Bobo Do: Cleveland Games, Pasta Shooter, and Hellmouth.
