[나와유대전] Yuseong Oriental Foot Spa Park, Daejeon, South Korea (유성 한방족욕장)
Ksenia) Hello, everyone! My name is Ksenia, I live in Daejeon and work for SolBridge International School of Business.
Today, I would like to introduce to you the place which is really loved by Korean people.
They say that when you get there you would automatically shout say:
“Wow! This is really refreshing!”
Let's go together and check out this Oriental Medicine Foot Spa Boulevard!
Na) This is Yuseong Hot Springs Park. The main source of Yuseong's pride in Daejeon. The park is not only a perfect walking path for families, friends and couples, but also the place where everybody can enjoy hot springs at Foot Spa Experience Center which is opened here for 365 days a year.
Q : I heard that there is an Oriental Foot Spa Boulevard inside the Hot Springs Park. What kind of place is that?
A : The Oriental Medicine Foot Spa Boulevard was opened in August, 2016. This is the area where everyone can enjoy diverse oriental foot spa while drinking some tea and reading a book. We put a few tables and chairs here for people, so they can have a good and relaxing time.
Yuseong is one of the 3 most famous Korean hot springs. This why I wanted to try out this oriental foot spa experience program so much!
Oriental Medicine Foot Spa facilities are free of charge for everyone, however there is only one rule. This space is opened for public and many people come here every day, please do not forget to wash your feet before you put them inside!
Ksenia) This is my first oriental foot spa experience. It feels like the warm energy spreads through the whole body and refreshes it. I walked a lot today, and my feet were very tired, but now it's all gone and I feel refreshed again. This is quite amazing!
Na) Every year in May, here, at the Oriental Medicine Foot Spa Boulevard the Yuseong Hot Spring Culture Festival takes place. It is a very popular regional event.
During the festival period people enjoy foot spa, street art, diverse food and performances
Q : I heard that this year there would be a great number of attractions during the Yuseong Hot Spring Festival. Is that true?
A : The Yuseong Hot Spring Festival will take place from May 12 till May 14 at the various spots of the Hot Spring Park. We are preparing quite a few exciting events this year, such as water gun shooter game, street parade, hot spring spa DJ-party and many other things.
Na) Today we all try to take care about our health. This is the place where you can refresh and energize both your mind and body. Yuseong Oriental Medicine Foot Spa and I wish you all a warm and healthy spring time! Remember, foot spa experience is the best here!

Golf theme park in Daejeon to give boost to Korea′s screen golf industry
′K-GO
With the largest number of golf simulators anywhere in the world, screen golfing is big business in Korea.
And now, in the city of Daejeon,... a golf theme park opened, and it has its eyes on becoming a global golf landmark.
Kwon Soa has this story.
It′s a paradise for golfers.
Indoors and outdoors alike.
A golf theme park in the central city of Daejeon has opened for golf lovers of all ages.
The park boasts upgraded screen golf facilities... that make virtual indoor golf more real than its ever been before.
I like that you can play on real grass. It′s better to practice here than at other indoor facilities because my shots feel more precise.
The new space not only offers fun for the whole family, but also to give opportunities for young players who want to hit the big time.
The park has a special training academy with simulation golf competitions that should help foster the next generation of Korean golfing superstars.
And that′s not all.
Various cultural activities can be enjoyed for residents and visitors all across the nation and the world.
There will be a space for performances like musicals too. We′re looking forward to welcoming Koreans and foreigners who want the total golf experience.
Korea′s screen golf industry is only around ten years old,... but it has grown rapidly with three-and-a-half million people playing every year.
With the new golf park, Korea hopes to swing into a new K-wave on the golfing screen.

Korean traditional hawk hunting : YongSoon Park at TEDxDaejeon
Yong-soon Park : Daejeon 8th Intangible Cultural Properties, is a falconer and falconry is designated as UNESCO intangible heritage of humanity
His first hawking was in his 12 when he grew the falcon which he hunted in mountain at the back of his home. After he was designated as Daejeon Intangible Cultural Properties, he gave up his career and devoted himself to preservation and passing down falconry. He surely could've live an ordinary life, but his interest and talent led him to be not a salaryman but a 'Bonbagi(man who handles falcon)' who crisscrosses mountains, communicates with and handles falcons. Pleasure of hunting a wild falcon and taming it and accomplishment when my falcon succeeds to his first hunting is inexpressible. Hawking is the best leports to communicate with nature and develop great spirit., he said.

Walking around Noeul Park, Seoul, Korea
Noeul Park is one of the favored parks in Seoul. The park contains wild animals such as deer, wildcats and raccoons. There is a sculpture park which is a themed space with nature and cultural art works displayed on green lawns.
In order to prevent the vast area of land of what was once a wasteland from becoming an unnecessary chunk of land, a nine-hole golf course was constructed in what is now known as Noeul Park. The golf course serves as an environment friendly entertainment park to visitors while stabilizing the geographical formation and has an urban park nearby that offers scenic views of the Hangang River and beautiful sunset. Located west of the golf park is Noeul Square, decorated with shrubs and flowers.

Daehangno and Hyehwa-dong: An Architectural Walk
During this excursion of Daehangno and Hyehwa-dong, we will look at a variety of styles of Korean architecture in the 20th century. The tour will begin in around the Marronnier Park, which were Seoul National University and its Japanese colonial forerunner, the Gyeongseong Imperial University were located. Several university buildings built during the colonial period still stand, including the former headquarters building which was designed by Park Kil-yong (1898-1943), a noted Korean architect during the colonial period. The Marronnier Park area is also home to three buildings designed by Kim Swoo-geun (1931-86), Korea's most famous architect. The buildings have ornate brick work and multi-leveled spaces, which typify Kim's style in the 1970s. We will visit the Lock Museum, which has an outstanding collection of traditional Korean locks, nearby Marronnier Park.

Korea's ETRI, No.1 innovation center for third consecutive year
When it comes to innovative ideas,... Korea's Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute is without competition.
For the third-straight year, the institute was ranked the world's number one innovation center by a U.S.-based research institute.
Our Laah Hyun-kyung tells us more. One of the world's leading business patent data bases, ipIQ says... Korea's Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute has maintained its status as the number one innovation center in the world.
That's among some 300 government agencies, institutions and universities around the globe ... assessed by the ipIQ... for their innovation drive... and ability to collaborate with other organizations.
They've outperformed the competition on developing patents around the hottest technologies in the space right now. We call it innovation cycle time, and ETRI is winning in this area by producing patents in some of the most relevant, hottest sectors.
The state-run ETRI, based in Daejeon, took the top spot this year with a patent count of nearly 900.
That total is 85 percent higher than that of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the second-best organization on the scorecard.
Aside from ETRI, the only non-American organization in the top ten was Taiwan's Industrial Technology Research Institute.
The ETRI has earned patent royalties totaling around 160-billion won, or roughly 150-million U.S. dollars over the past five years, chief among them being patents related to 3G mobile telecommuncations technology.
The science and ICT ministry says... ETRI's achievements are a testimony to Korea's information and communications technology prowess... and proof that the country can succeed in building a creative economy -- President Park Geun-hye's key administrative goal.
A government official added that it will continue to help the institute focus more on the quality of Korea's patents from now on.

Han River
There’s no better place to take in views of Seoul’s unique skyline than the Han River, one of the most important rivers in the entire country. Hop on the Han River bicycle path at Yeouido Hangang Park, a green space most known for its iconic cherry blossom trees that attract thousands in spring.Yeouido is also a bike tour checkpoint one of 40 in the country that is designated by vintage telephone booths painted bright red. Here, riders can purchase a passport for a nominal fee in which they can collect stamps along the bike routes to earn a certificate and medal. The path heads out of town, becoming a two-lane bicycle “highway” along the Han River, with stunning views of the cityscape and the diverse environments it snakes through.
Nakdong River
Stretching approximately 393 kilometers (244 miles), this path takes riders from the southern port city of Busan through Daegu and concludes in Andong, home of the Hahoe Folk Village and birthplace of jjimdalk (spicy stewed chicken).
Part of the 4 Rivers Cycling Trail – a series of breathtaking bike paths that zig-zag across the entire country from Incheon to Busan, the Nakdong River bicycle path is the longest of all the contiguous river paths in Korea. It takes about four or five days to complete, but can also be enjoyed in smaller segments.
Geum River
The Geum River bicycle route is a relatively easy 146 kilometer (90.7 mile) jaunt that begins in Daejeon and passes by Sejong City before reaching Gongju, the second capital of the Baekje Kingdom. The route goes around the Gongsanseong Fortress, then continues on to the scenic banks of the Geum River before reaching the Baekjebo Weir near Buyeo. In Buyeo, riders can delve into Korea’s rich history at attractions such as Baekje Cultural Land, Nakhwaam Rock and Gudeurae Park. After passing the riverside’s picturesque willow groves, bikers will reach Nonsan, which is famous for its fermented seafood market, before making their way to Iksan then Gunsan.
Yeongsan River
Spanning 133 kilometers (82.6 miles) along the Yeongsan River in Jeollanam Province, the relatively easy Yeongsan River bicycle route is situated on the embankment of Damyangho Lake.In Damyang, the path links up to the romantic Metasequoia-lined Road and the bamboo groves of Damyang Marsh before nearing Gwangju’s downtown area.
There, the Yeongsan River widens and then passes by Seungchonbo Weir, a site that is especially beautiful in the springtime when covered in canola flowers and pear blossoms.
Jeju Fantasy Bike Path
Get off the mainland and experience the beautiful beaches, amazing volcanic landscape and endless rows of tangerine fields on Jeju Island, South Korea’s largest island. This prime cycling destination boasts a 244 kilometer (151.6 m), fairly flat path that circles the entirety of the island and can be completed in approximately five days. Most cyclists start their journey in Jeju City and head counter-clockwise around the island, passing through Hyeopjae Beach, Songaksan Mountain, Jeongbang Waterfall, Seongsan Ilchulbong and Udo Island.

4k Video / South Korea / Han River - Sevit Island / Music,Relax,Study,Sleep,Love,Romantic,ASMR
Hello everyone~
Today, we introduce famous bird island in Han River of Korea.
- The official name is 'Floating Island' which means 'Floating Island' and it was planned as part of the 'Han River Renaissance Project' in September 2006 in Seoul. After that, it was promoted as a profit-based private business (BTO) and started construction in April 2009. On May 3, 2011, the name of Hangul was fixed as Seolleong Island and the view space was opened on the 21st of the same month. However, problems with operating method and economic feasibility were raised, and after a business review was started in November of the same year, it was neglected for a while. In September 2013, Seoul City and Hyosung, the largest investor, agreed to normalize operations and open some internal and external spaces In October 2014, the Hangul name was changed to 'Three Light Island', and the facility was fully opened.
The name of 'Hangul' is 'Three Light', which is the color of the three colors of red, blue, and green, which produces the most colors when the light is overlapped with each other. The three islands harmonize the Han River and Seoul. It is meant to emphasize the cultural space that is floating on the awards. It is composed of three islands connected to the Taoist Bridge by a building built on a floating umbrella on the Han River at the southern end of Banpo Bridge, and the media art gallery separately constructed. The building floor area is 9995㎡. According to the coordinates of the satellite, the winch of the artificial island unfastens the wire while pulling the wire, and when the water level rises, the mooring chain is released and moved along the water level.
The three islands are divided into a first island (Vista), a second island (Viva), and a third island (Terra). The first island, which symbolizes the blooming flowers, has a total floor space of 5490 square meters and has 3 floors. It has facilities such as a convention hall and a restaurant for various events such as international conferences, receptions, production announcements, marketing events. The second island, which symbolizes the bud, has a total floor area of 3426㎡ and has 3 floors. It is used as a space to host cultural events such as performances and exhibitions and conferences and seminars. The third island that forms the seed has a total floor area of 1078 square meters and has two floors. In addition, the Media Art Gallery, equipped with super large LED and water stage, is used as a venue for various events and cultural arts.
