Koreans Ask Filipinos ENGLISH vs. FILIPINO? | EL's Planet
Ever wondered what Filipinos think of Koreans, or maybe if Filipinos would like to marry Koreans? For this video, EL reached out to 5 Koreans, 4 of them who live in South Korea, and one of them currently staying in China; to give questions that they’re really curious about regarding The Philippines, Filipinos, and Filipino Culture in relation to South Korea, Koreans, and Korean Culture. EL then asked these questions to Filipinos in order to find out the different views of people regarding the five questions given.

The Philippines (/ˈfɪlɪpiːnz/ (About this sound listen); Filipino: Pilipinas [ˌpɪlɪˈpinɐs] or Filipinas [ˌfɪlɪˈpinɐs]), officially the Republic of the Philippines (Filipino: Republika ng Pilipinas), is a unitary sovereign state and island country in Southeast Asia. Situated in the western Pacific Ocean, it consists of about 7,641 islands[17] that are categorized broadly under three main geographical divisions from north to south: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The capital city of the Philippines is Manila and the most populous city is Quezon City, both part of Metro Manila.[18] Bounded by the South China Sea on the west, the Philippine Sea on the east and the Celebes Sea on the southwest, the Philippines shares maritime borders with Taiwan to the north, Vietnam to the west, Palau to the east and Malaysia and Indonesia to the south.
The Philippines' location on the Pacific Ring of Fire and close to the equator makes the Philippines prone to earthquakes and typhoons, but also endows it with abundant natural resources and some of the world's greatest biodiversity. The Philippines has an area of 300,000 square kilometers (115,831 sq mi),[19] and a population of approximately 100 million.[20][21] It is the eighth-most populated country in Asia and the 12th most populated country in the world. As of 2013, approximately 10 million additional Filipinos lived overseas,[22] comprising one of the world's largest diasporas. Multiple ethnicities and cultures are found throughout the islands. In prehistoric times, Negritos were some of the archipelago's earliest inhabitants. They were followed by successive waves of Austronesian peoples.[23] Exchanges with Chinese, Malay, Indian, and Islamic nations occurred. Then, various competing maritime states were established under the rule of Datus, Rajahs, Sultans or Lakans.
The arrival of Ferdinand Magellan in Homonhon, Eastern Samar in 1521 marked the beginning of Hispanic colonization. In 1543, Spanish explorer Ruy López de Villalobos named the archipelago Las Islas Filipinas in honor of Philip II of Spain. With the arrival of Miguel López de Legazpi from Mexico City, in 1565, the first Hispanic settlement in the archipelago was established.[24] The Philippines became part of the Spanish Empire for more than 300 years. This resulted in Catholicism becoming the dominant religion. During this time, Manila became the western hub of the trans-Pacific trade connecting Asia with Acapulco in the Americas using Manila galleons.[25]
As the 19th century gave way to the 20th, there followed in quick succession the Philippine Revolution, which spawned the short-lived First Philippine Republic, followed by the bloody Philippine–American War of conquest by US military force.[26] Aside from the period of Japanese occupation, the United States retained sovereignty over the islands until after World War II, when the Philippines was recognized as an independent nation. Since then, the Philippines has often had a tumultuous experience with democracy, which included the overthrow of a dictatorship by a non-violent revolution.[27]
It is a founding member of the United Nations, World Trade Organization, Association of Southeast Asian Nations, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum, and the East Asia Summit. It also hosts the headquarters of the Asian Development Bank.[28] The Philippines is considered to be an emerging market and a newly industrialized country,[29] which has an economy transitioning from being one based on agriculture to one based more on services and manufacturing.[30] It is one of the only two predominantly Christian nations in Southeast Asia, the other being East Timor.

Business in Manila
Considering doing Business in Philippines especially doing Business in Manila check out our website
The Philippine Islands is located in Southeast Asia. There are over 7,100 islands that make up the Philippine Islands. They cover roughly 496,500 square miles. The total land area is approximately 117,000 square miles. Only about a thousand of its islands are populated, and less than half of these are larger than one square mile. Eleven islands make up 34 percent cent of the Philippine land mass. Two of these, Luzon and Mindanao, measure 41,000 and 37,000 square miles respectively. The Philippines has more than 500 species of flowering plants. The climate is tropical, and it is generally hot and humid all of the year round. About 60% of the Philippines receives between 70 and 100 inches of rainfall annually. Population is estimated at over 95 million in 2011.
Business in Manila
English, Filipino (Tagalog), and Spanish are the official languages, Filipino or Tagalog is the national language. It is spoken by over 55% of the people. Additionally Over 90% of the population is Christian, mostly Roman Catholic, with roughly 5% Muslim.
Business in Manila
According to the Philippines 2010 GDP (PPP) estimae was $351.4 Billion or $3,737 per capita.
The Philippine GDP grew 7.3% in 2010, spurred by consumer demand, a rebound in exports and investments, and election-related spending. The economy weathered the 2008-09 global recession better than its regional peers due to minimal exposure to troubled international securities, lower dependence on exports, relatively resilient domestic consumption, large remittances from four- to five-million overseas Filipino workers, and a growing business process outsourcing industry.
Business in Manila
The Philippines has established itself as one of the top destinations globally for services outsourcing, being second only to India. The Philippines' cost competitiveness, excellent telecommunications infrastructure, large talent pool, strong public-private sector partnerships, and relatively low risk perception are among the factors that transnational corporations are considering the Philippines for services outsourcing.
Business in Manila
In 2010, the Philippine IT-BPO industry reached $9 billion in revenues, and engaged the services of 530,000 full-time employees in financial services, human resources, IT and software development, management services, engineering design, animation and other sectors. The industry now accounts for 60 percent of the country's total services exports. Furthermore, industry experts predict that in 2011, the industry is expected to generate US$11 billion in terms of services export revenues, and to provide employment to 640,000 people .
As you can see from this snapshot, business management in the Philippines is fast becoming a hot topic, and one that needs further understanding. The goal of this website is to share my knowledge, understanding and experience with those who are considering Business Management in the Philippines either by starting up their own company here or even as simple as considering a Virtual Assistant to assist in the day to day running of your business in Manila.

Hip Hop Kid - Manila Bay (near Mall of Asia on Roxas Blvd) - Manila, Philippines
On weekends the area along Manila Bay and Roxas Blvd. near the Mall of Asia (MoA) is packed with crouds and families. The malls in Manila can offer relief from the heat and the weather and it is always nice to watch the sunset over Manila Bay.
One of the highlights of this area are the many street performers. Here some hip-hop break-dancers were putting on a hell of a show, but this little guy (he appeared to be the son or younger brother of one of the performers) was a crowd pleaser and stole the show!
This also offers a little innuendo into Pinoy culture, their love of hip-hop, and all things thug!

Best German Restaurant Manila: Wagner German Bakery Two Central Salcedo Village Makati
Best German Restaurant Manila: Wagner German Bakery Two Central Salcedo Village Makati. I have been eagerly anticipating the birth of a new German Restaurant ever since the legendary Schwarzwalder of Peter Jentes closed down a few years ago after more than a decade of serving mouthwatering German and European comfort food. It was only recently that we discovered Wagner German Bakery located at the ground floor of the new Megaworld condominium development in Salcedo Village named Two Central. Upon entering, you will feel planted in the hearthstone of Bavaria at this brightly lit bakery with wooden tables and chairs and the intoxicating aroma of buttery fumes, freshly baked bread and the salivating sound of sizzling grilled sausages. Wagner was opened on July 26, 2016 by German national Bernhardt Wagner, his wife Helen from Pampanga and their son Angelo who has a diploma in German Baking from the International Baking Academy in Weinheim Germany and they serve freshly baked bread, pretzels, pastries, hot entrees, homemade sausages and German draft beer. Take note they import a majority of their ingredients from Germany to ensure the authenticity of their food.
The menu is small, colorful and picturesque and they prepare their dishes meticulously the German way. We have had breakfast and lunch here on numerous occasions and from their menu we would highly recommend the Servus Wien with Croissant, Fiakergoulasch, Pork Schnitzel, Hausgemachter Leberkase which is the traditional meatloaf and super delightful, Brotzeit Brettl, Currywurst, Brot Mit Obatzer, and the best nurnberger bratwurste in Manila ideally paired with their ice cold Draft Weihenstephan Weissbier. For dessert, be sure to try their Sweet Pancakes with Apricot Jam and Apfel Strudel with Pistachio Gelato.
