Today I will be creating my very own cup noodles at the Cup Noodles Museum in Yokohama, Japan. I’ll also stop by the Noodle Bazaar and try different noodles from all over the world. Lastly, I will taste test the cup noodles I created.

YOKOHAMA, Japan: Nissan Stadium, Ramen Museum, Cup Noodles Museum | Vlog 5
Yokohama, Japan is well known for soccer (or football ????) and ramen. In this video, you see the most famous attractions in both fields. In Shin-Yokohama, we visit the Nissan Stadium (also known as Yokohama Stadium), and the Ramen Museum, where you can try some of the best ramen bowls you'll ever have. Food in Japan is always delicious!
The Nissan Stadium is famous for the 2002 FIFA World Cup Final and is often used for major events in Japan. In 2020, it will also host Olympic soccer matches. Now that the Rugby World Cup is over, stadium visits have resumed.
From the Ramen Museum, we went to the Cup Noodles Museum, back in Minato Mirai 21, where you can learn about Momofuku Ando, the creator of instant ramen noodles, the history of instant ramen and cupnoodles. We closed the day visiting the mall across the street, World Porters, and enjoying the view from the Ferris wheel at Cosmo World.
Yokohama is perfect for a Tokyo day trip, but my advice? Stay longer ????

Things to do in Yokohama : Day Trip Travel Guide
We took a day trip from Tokyo to visit the beautiful city of Yokohama for a food adventure.
We checked out the Kirin Brewery, the Cup Noodle Museum and the Ramen Museum.
The Kirin Brewery tour is free and you get to learn all about how Kirin Beer is made. There is also an opportunity to sample the different beers available
The Cupnoodle museum was a lot of fun. You get to learn about the history of instant ramen, and cup noodles and learn about the life of Momofuku Ando. You also get to make your own cup noodle
Our last stop was the Ramen Museum. The museum is decorated to look like a city block from 1958, the year instant ramen was invented. We sampled half sized ramen from three different and delicious places.
The waterfront also very beautiful place to spend an afternoon. The walkway is lined with wonderful Sakura trees and you get a nice view of the city.

SO MUCH RAMEN! Ramen Museum, Yokohama - Japan Vlog
Try ramen from all over Japan at the Ramen Museum in Yokohama. It's not really a museum - just a lot of ramen restaurants! They serve half-size portions so you can try lots of different types, including tonkotsu ramen, shio ramen and they also serve vegetarian and non-pork versions.
The Ramen Museum is in Yokohama, which is a great day trip from Tokyo, just 30-45 minutes by train from Shinjuku. In the same day we also went to the Cup Noodles Museum - it was a noodle themed day!

Family Fun Day in Yokohama Japan with Kids - Cup Noodles Museum, Cosmo Ferris Wheel, KiddOKidd 2019
My husband was working all day, so it was just me, my 2 toddlers and our stroller in Yokohama.

My kids had a blast and here is our easy and walkable 3 hour itinerary in 2019 that our kids will remember forever...especially since I made this video for them :)
Luckily we visit Yokohama Japan every year. It is a fun filled city with great family friendly activities! Yokohama is one of our favorite places to visit and our children LOVE this city.
What to do in Yokohama with Kids? Here's our Family fun Itinerary for kids:
1. 10:30am - CupNoodles (Cup O' Noodles) Museum & Factory. Fun educational interactive activities that your kids will love. Don't forgot to book you MyCupNoodles Factory reservation when you arrive and you get to make your very own custom CupNoodles ramen to eat later. Entrance fee is 500yen ($4.50) for adults. My 4 & 2 year olds were free. MyCupNoodles factory fee is 300 yen each ($2.50) and only allowed 1 per person. (They open at 10am, so if you are able to go at opening, that is best as is gets REALLY busy.)
2. 12:00pm - Yokohama Cosmo Clock FerrisWheel. 15 minute Ferris Wheel ride with beautiful views of Yokohama and Carnival games & arcade below. Great on a nice day and amazing if you ride it at night when it lights up at night.
3. 12:30pm - MARK IS shopping building. It is a 5-10 minute walk from the Yokohama ferris wheel. The 3rd floor is the KIDS floor which has great kids clothes to browse and shop. There you will find Kidd-O-Kidd Bornelund indoor playroom. And also there is a huge Toys R Us / Babies R Us on that level! YES...Toys R Us is still open in JAPAN!!!
4. On another day, we visited the 5th floor of the MARK IS which is SEGA ORBI! This place is great for kids with animal interactive & fun educational activities. This is at least a 2 -3 hour activity with a lot of waiting in lines, so go early. Even weekdays are busy.

For all activities in Japan, It's best to do on a weekday (if possible) as Yokohama attractions get very crowded.

I'm back to posting! I had the chance to visit the Cup Noodle Museum in Yokohama, which is very close to tokyo! If you've ever eaten instant ramen, you owe yourself the visit. The museum is not only cheap, but its extremely fun too! If you have an off day while in Japan, definitely dont skip this!!

You want to know more how instant noodles were invented? The Cup Noodles Museum is the answer. The Cup Noodles Museum is an interactive museum located in Yokohama’s Minato Mirai District to provide an educational experience. This facility shows the history of instant ramen noodles through history cube and short film. While in the museum, be sure to check out the replica of Momofuku’s work shed where the first instant ramen was created.
Not only learn the history, you can enjoy 8 varieties of noodles from different countries or you can create your own cupnoodle and make chicken ramen by hand. There is also a CUPNOODLES Park for kids where they can pretend to become a noodle and going through the entire CUPNOODLES manufacturing process.

Risa and I went to Yokohama and visited places like the Cup Noodle Museum which was super fun! We also went shopping and then also decided to go to an outlet nearby. Join us on our adventures as we shop, eat and sight see!
If you have time in Japan in Tokyo, you should definitely check out Yokohama! It is a really nice place with lots to do! Risa and I also went to the Mitsui outlet and we also got some really good bargains at Coach!
