Winery in Medford Oregon - RoxyAnn Winery
RoxyAnn Winery Inspired by the Rogue Valley's natural beauty and bounty, RoxyAnn Winery was founded in 2002 at the historic Hillcrest Orchard in east Medford. One of Southern Oregon's oldest orchards, Hillcrest Orchard has been directed by members of the Parsons family since 1908. The winery name RoxyAnn comes from the earliest settlers who laid claim to the most fertile portions of the Rogue Valley in the 1850′s and named the tallest mountain peak after a pioneer woman named Roxy Ann Bowen. In 2001, the first harvest of grapes at RoxyAnn produced only 150 cases of a proprietary red Claret that was a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot; with the entire production selling out in two weeks. Today, RoxyAnn Winery produces nearly 15,000 cases of award-winning Claret, Pinot Gris, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Tempranillo, Syrah, and Viognier that reflect balance, complexity and profound depth of flavor.
Our winemaking, under the direction of veteran winemaker, John Quinones, relies upon a balanced and skilled process that strives to fully express the unique attributes of the vineyard in every bottle of wine.

Southern Oregon vineyards seeing strong demand
By Will Maetzold/KTVL.com
JACKSON COUNTY, Ore. -- Demand continues to rise for wines made in southern Oregon.
Agate Ridge Vineyard began planting more than 6,000 new vines on Monday morning. It's a sign the wine industry in southern Oregon continues to grow.
The fruit that comes from southern Oregon is very desirable throughout the state of Oregon, Agate Ridge Vineyard owner Kimberly Kinderman said. Not only are producers using our fruit here to produce artisan wines but a lot of fruit is sold from this valley also.
Agate Ridge Vineyard said the demand its seen at its winery has meant the need to plant more vines.
We're going to be able to increase the production of our Malbec and also introduce a brand new varietal, Kinderman said. We're also expanding our Pinot Noir block.
Kinderman said all parts of her business have been growing since the winery opened in 2005.
The staff said it will be three to four years before the vines planted this week are ready to be harvested.
The viticulturist at Agate Ridge Vineyard, Matt Cates, said the grapes grown on site make a big difference in the quality of the wine.
People tell us all the time they can taste our soil, he said. They can taste our microclimate (and) how it differs from other areas in the valley.
It helps make vineyards like Agate Ridge more and more popular in southern Oregon.
The owner at DANCIN Vineyards also said demand is up for its products. He said 20,000 new vines were planted this year at the vineyard.

GINGER ROGERS CRATERIAN THEATER MEDFORD OREGON
GINGER ROGERS CRATERIAN THEATER MEDFORD OREGON
The Craterian Ginger Rogers Theater is a theater located in Medford, Oregon, United States. It is named in honor of Ginger Rogers, an actress who performed there as early as 1926.
In 1923, the Page Theater burned down after ten years of performances.[3] At the time there were no other theaters in Medford with a large capacity, so in 1924 business owner Jeremiah Henry Cooley and attorney Porter Joseph Neff collaborated to construct one. The building was designed by architect Frank Chamberlain Clark and would be leased to George A. Hunt.[1]
The original name of the theater was decided by a 1925 contest held with a $25 prize. The winning entry, Hunt's Craterian Theater, was submitted by a Mrs. W. P. Brooks, a resident of Medford. The building was renamed Craterian Ginger Rogers Theater in 1997 after the building was restored.[1][2]
In 1977, Rogers's mother died. Rogers remained at the 4-Rs (Rogers's Rogue River Ranch) until 1990, when she sold the property and moved to nearby Medford, Oregon.
Rogers spent winters in Rancho Mirage and summers in Medford, Oregon.
