Dominican Crabbing and Fishing - DR Eco Adventures
Let your personal Adventure Guide lead you to our secret spots for Fishing and Crabbing. Our guides will teach you the traditional Dominican form of fishing with a Net and crabbing with a Steel Rod. You may have the fortune of catching Snook or a Blue Crab. Snook (also knows as Robalo, Sergeant Fish or Line fish) is one of the more popular fish to go catch here in the Dominican Republic. It is a fish that will put up a good fight and its soft and mild flavored meat makes it extremely delicious to eat. Blue crabs are prized by humans for their sweet, tender meat, these wide-ranging, ten-legged crustaceans are among the most heavily harvested creatures on the planet. Their scientific name, Callinectes sapidus, means savory beautiful swimmer. We will be sure to take many photos to serve as proof of the Fish Stories you will tell when you get back home. Includes a traditional Family Style Dominican lunch.

In this session of up close and personal I introduce you to one of my personal friends. I’ve known Alduino for over six years now and over that time span together we’ve seen much of the country. Alduino is co-owner of a general store located on the main street in Rio San Juan. Come and join us as I attempt to discover a bit of his past and how he came to developing his own brand of fine quality cigars. When you’re in Rio San Juan why not pay him a visit. You’ll probably learn more about the area in a fifteen minute visit than you thought possible. For all you cigar lovers why not sample some of the Dominican Republic’s finest cigars. Walk across the street together and enjoy a coffee. For a friendly local experience that’s not soon forgotten, visit my buddy Alduino. In part two we’ll continue my visit where we’ll touch on why this area seems to attract those looking for a change and Alduino shares a local’s opinion of where it’s heading into the future.

????????????????????

Surf Fishing in the Dominican Republic (Punta Cana)
On my vacation to the dominican republic I was fortunate to catch a couple of different species including snook , tarpon, mangrove snapper, and jacks. Most from shore right in the resort and a couple from a catamaran near the shore. One of my favorite trips I didn't get to fish as much as I woulda like since I was there with family but it was still a great time.

For a great day of family fun check out DR Eco Adventures
I received an invite from a friend to come on down and Meet Francisco better known as Francis. Francis is the owner of a 700 plus acres property. Over the past couple of years Francis has developed this property into what’s become one of the most unique ways to enjoy a day in nature. It’s called DR Eco Adventures. I’m often asked what ideas can I offer for folks who want to spend some time in our region, what’s there to see and of course what is available for the family to enjoy. For all viewers who enjoy things like horseback riding in nature and riding on a secluded beach might want to check out DR Eco Adventures. If kayaking, paddle boarding and cycling is your kind of thing then this is your place. For larger groups they can even arrange for a local cooked lunch, it’s a total package. The staff speaks Spanish, English, French and German so communicating is never an issue. After getting to know Francis I can say if the family wants to experience a day of sun and fun surrounded by nature with a slight hint of adventure then DR Eco Adventures might just be the ticket you’ve been looking for. We’ll continue promoting local businesses and activities all around the region but nothing can take the place of actually being here.
Are you looking for a change? Tired of running at wide open throttle? Considering relocating to a warm friendly climate where your dollars will go further?
