Dark Cave Tour Disaster Ending in Phong Nha - Vietnam Travel
After a great morning exploring the amazing Paradise Cave, we headed down to the adventurous Dark Cave. We weren't to sure how great this tour was going to be on a cold and rainy day, but as soon as we started down the zip line to the entrance of the cave, it was big smiles and laughing all around!
After the zipline and a swim to the entrance of the cave, it was headlamps on and exploration through the mud lined walls of the cave began. When we found our way to the famous mud pool / mud bath, it was time to get dirty and then turn out all the lights, to see just how dark Dark Cave really is...
After our time in the cave we walked to a fresh water pool to clean up and it was at this point we made a disastrous discovery....Somehow I had left my iPhone in my shorts pocket and it was soaked!! Absolutely dripping water and covered in mud :(
We paddled an inflatable canoe back to the main area where we wiped the phone down, tried to dry it out and then headed back to take a few more zip line rides before calling it a day.
We'd love it if you liked and shared this video, so others who haven't yet heard of us, also get a chance to share in the experience. Thanks :)

Extinction Level Event by Jingle Punks
We are Leon and Tash, a New Zealand vlogging couple who set off on an amazing Vietnam adventure as fulltime travellers, backpacking Vietnam. But we weren't going to travel to Vietnam for one of those ordinary backpacking Vietnam trips you hear about everybody doing, where they go for a couple off weeks and check out the beaches or maybe riding through Vietnam at such a crazy pace that they never get off the beaten track. No we want more than that.
Our Vietnam adventures start with learning the way of the locals, taking just enough time to figure out how things work, discover what the Must see places in Vietnam are and more importantly where Vietnam's hidden gems are...
To do this, we moved to Danang Vietnam. The plan was to spend 3 months living in Da Nang, meeting and learning from locals about the culture, the amazing food, their way of living and what places they would recommend to travel in Vietnam.
And because Danang is in the middle of the country, we hoped we might meet other tourists or expats who were having their own Vietnam travel adventure or were at the halfway point of motorcycle riding through Vietnam and hear from them, what places they thought we must visit in Vietnam. Also, as new travel vloggers, having a base there meant we could try things like doing Da Nang Vietnam travel vlog or creating a Danang Vietnam travel guide, before also taking on the stresses of fulltime travel.
Then in month 4, that's when the real Vietnam adventure begins. With our new list of must see places, we will head to Saigon and buy a couple of motorbikes. to start our Vietnam road trip!
Motorcycle riding through Vietnam seems like one of the most hectic, crazy and chaotic things anyone could do, but we can't wait!! And we wont be following a simple South to North / Saigon to Hanoi route, we plan on doing more like a figure 8, so that our travel in Vietnam will cover both the inland and coastal areas of this amazing country.
So can we still say we are backpacking Vietnam? Or should we be telling people our travel in Vietnam is a motorcycle trip through Vietnam? We're not sure, but what we do know is, our Vietnam road trip is going to cover over 6000km's from Saigon right up to the famous waterfalls of Ban Gioc near Cao Bang, round the northern point of the Ha Giang loop and everything else we can access in between.
So we hope you'll join us, the New Zealand vlogging couple, on our Vietnam adventure by clicking subscribe to join the Tribe and experience our travel in Vietnam..

How to Bike in Hanoi if You Want to Survive | One Speed, One Heart, Ep. 2
Craig makes it to Hanoi, Vietnam, but his bike doesn't. After waiting anxiously for three days it finally shows up and he has the kind of reunion that only people who routinely travel with large, expensive pieces of athletic equipment can appreciate. It'll bring a tear to your eye.
But don't get too sentimental because it's time to hit the streets. Craig dives headlong into the seemingly chaotic Hanoi traffic patterns and, to everyone's surprise, discovers a method to the madness. Now that he's gotten his feet on the pedals he's headed towards China where the real adventure begins.

Vietnamese Food-6 Favorite Veg/Vegan Banh Mi Shops in Saigon
Update:Veggie Saigon no longer serves their vegan banh mi!
I know how frustrating it can be to find vegetarian and vegan options, especially when it comes to tasting local dishes! The banh mi is a classic street food snack or meal in Vietnam. The wonderful baguette from the French colonial period, fresh herbs, veggies and pickles, but unfortunately for vegetarians and vegans the classic version includes mostly pork, pate, sometimes chicken, and occasionally fish. I'm not either a strict vegetarian or vegan, I still indulge in fish and seafood on occasion, but I mostly stick to a plant-based diet so I know the challenges sometimes trying to find things to fit into the diet. Luckily with a Buddhist based culture in Vietnam, vegetarianism/veganism, is a more widely accepted diet or way of life compared with many other countries. I've been eating my way through the many plant-based options in Ho Chi Minh City for the last few weeks and narrowed down 6 of my favorite banh mi that are either vegetarian or vegan. As I mentioned in the video I believe some of the vegetarian options could be vegan if you asked to leave mayo off the bread. The least expensive banh mi was found at Veggie Saigon for d15,000, (takeaway), the most expensive from The Vegan Garden d35,000. We are talking a price range from $0.65-$1.51USD, amazing value! Delivery from District 7 to District 1 for the banh mi from The Vegan Garden was $1.00USD.
Please let me know in the comments if you enjoy and appreciate these videos on finding good food, particularly vegetarian and plant-based food, and I'll do more. Ho Chi Minh City was recently named one of the top 15 cities in the world for vegans. I'm not the least bit surprised. I'm finding the options, value, and quality of vegan food in HCMC first rate!

Moped Crash in Krabi / Hanging out - Vlog 06
Mac & Dallas rent moped's and as we are getting our safety briefing we witness a Moped crash. The locals say he broke his arm but it looked more like he dislocated his shoulder /arm.
Anyways our plan was to drive the moped to Tiger Cave Temple to do the famous 1237 Step hike to the top but we had a change of plans and ended up on the beach for sunset.
After sunset we got some street food and headed home!

Hearts and Minds (1974) (English sub) (Viet sub) (Won Oscar for Best Documentary)
Hearts and Minds (1974) (English sub) (Viet sub) (Won Oscar for Best Documentary)
Director: Peter Davis
Stars: Tin Chan, Chau Diem, Ngo Dinh Diem
This film recounts the history and attitudes of the opposing sides of the Vietnam War using archival news footage as well as its own film and interviews. A key theme is how attitudes of American racism and self-righteous militarism helped create and prolong this bloody conflict. The film also endeavors to give voice to the Vietnamese people themselves as to how the war has affected them and their reasons why they fight the United States and other western powers while showing the basic humanity of the people that US propaganda tried to dismiss.
Peter Davis created one of the most moving accounts of the Vietnam War and the attitudes at home when he produced Hearts and Minds.
The film looks unflinchingly at the nature of power and horrible consequences of war. It is very much a pro-peace film, but uses the people who were there to speak for themselves. It also seeks to probe deeper underneath the American psyche of the times and evolves into a historical document about the violent social rupture that happened between the fifties and the sixties.
In many ways, it feels like a punch in the gut to watch the film. So many ideologies are laid bear....so many were false or misleading.
In the end, the film leaves you thinking about the price of war - and who is given the task to bear that price.
Truly deserving of the Oscar it received - and worthy of repeated viewing.

Suspense: Hitchhike Poker / Celebration / Man Who Wanted to be E.G. Robinson
Poker is a family of card games involving betting and individualistic play whereby the winner is determined by the ranks and combinations of their cards, some of which remain hidden until the end of the game. Poker games vary in the number of cards dealt, the number of shared or community cards and the number of cards that remain hidden. The betting procedures vary among different poker games in such ways as betting limits and splitting the pot between a high hand and a low hand.
In most modern poker games, the first round of betting begins with one of the players making some form of a forced bet (the ante). In standard poker, each player is betting that the hand he or she has will be the highest ranked. The action then proceeds clockwise around the table and each player in turn must either match the maximum previous bet or fold, losing the amount bet so far and all further interest in the hand. A player who matches a bet may also raise, or increase the bet. The betting round ends when all players have either matched the last bet or folded. If all but one player fold on any round, then the remaining player collects the pot and may choose to show or conceal their hand. If more than one player remains in contention after the final betting round, the hands are revealed and the player with the winning hand takes the pot. With the exception of initial forced bets, money is only placed into the pot voluntarily by a player who, at least in theory, rationally believes the bet has positive expected value. Thus, while the outcome of any particular hand significantly involves chance, the long-run expectations of the players are determined by their actions chosen on the basis of probability, psychology and game theory.
Poker has gained in popularity since the beginning of the twentieth century, and has gone from being primarily a recreational activity confined to small groups of mostly male enthusiasts, to a widely popular spectator activity with international audiences and multi-million dollar tournament prizes.
