It is one of the oldest temples in northern India. It was built in the 4th century. Dadhimati is the Avatar Of Goddess Laxmi. The temple has the oldest depictions of 'Devi mahamatya', which are even older than Mahalaxmi temple of Kolhapur, Maharastra. Dadhimati is Kul Devi and Kul Mata of Dadhich Brahmins as well as Dantuslia and Didel the Jat gotra and Gelda the Baniya gotra. Must Visit this temple.
