Fall in Seoraksan (part 1)
This is my hike up Mt. Seorak. Seoraksan is the highest mountain in the Taebaek mountain range (태백산맥) in the Gangwon province in eastern South Korea. The Daechongbong Peak (대청봉) of Seoraksan reaches 1,708 metres (5,603 feet).
This hike was 14 km, and took about 5hrs to complete. I stayed overnight in a shelter at Sochongbong peak. I also visited a temple during my time on the mountain.

Our last stop in Sokcho is the very beautiful Daepohang Village. The village’s port and lighthouses are clean and beautiful. Fishing enthusiasts are everywhere, as fishing in Sokcho is free. I wanted to see the lighthouse because those are filming sites of Korean dramas like Strong Woman Do Bong Soon and D-Day.
When I went back to Seoul, I met with my highschool friend Irene who visited South Korea with her friends. I haven’t seen her fro years since she already lives in Japan. We went to Namdaemun Market and Lotte Mart Seoul to check out some pasalubongs.
