This welcoming, friendly stables is situated in Sharm el-Sheikh on the edge of the Sinai Desert and is sister company to our stables in Dahab. The English and Egyptian-owned centre is run by professional horsemen who hope to show their guests the beauty of the area from horseback - from miles of coastline to breathtaking canyons and vast deserts, there is plenty to be explored! Guests ride primarily on Arabian horses who are famed for both their endurance and beauty.
Riders can choose from daily riding (from hourly to full days) hotel-based holidays or one of the 'safaris' (trail rides) with camping out in the desert alongside the horses. One safari option is a trail ride through Nabq National Park, an area under government protection thanks to its wonderful biodiversity and excellent natural resources. It is considered to be a pristine mountain wilderness and is home to a great diversity of wildlife including endangered species and unique vegetation. If you're more of a history-lover then we highly recommend a trail across the desert to visit historical highlights such as St Catherine's Monastery or Mount Sinai where Moses received the Ten Commandments.
The stables themselves comprise of several well-maintained boxes and a spacious turn-out paddock for the horses. If you take a left when riding away from the stables then you will arrive in the canyons after five minutes whereas a right turn will take you to the beach in ten! There are approximately 480 square kilometres to ride in and routes will be varied so that you can experience the best these stunning landscapes have to offer. Swimming in the sea with the horses is an added extra for those who'd like to try it!
This is a flexible destination where tailor made packages can be organised to suit your needs - the multi day safaris are a real adventure for the experienced rider whereas the hotel stays offer a more relaxed, easygoing holiday where non-riders are welcome and you can also spend some time diving, quad biking or just relaxing in the sun.
Sharm Equestrian and our sister company Dahab Horse Riding Club are the only stables in Egypt to have been visited and inspected by several horse riding agents for the health of our horse, our tack, trails as guides.
