Swimming can be a dangerous activity when a hungry crocodile is in the area as made evident by the BBC news report about a crocodile attack on a woman on the 30th May 2016 in the Daintree Rainforest.
I took a boat tour on an estuary that joins the Daintree Rainforest rivers to the Pacific Ocean. The older than 100 million years rainforest and the crocodiles made me feel like I was in the cretaceous period.
The captain of the boat cruise had some interesting stories to tell about the dietary habits of the crocodiles and careless tourists taken by crocodiles in and around the Daintree Rainforest area.

Cassowary in Daintree Rainforest, Australia
During one of his day tours in the Daintree Rainforest (daintreerainforestinformation.com) Dave came across 8 different cassowaries - including adults, juveniles/subadults and chicks. That's a new guiding record!! This is just a quick sample of what he saw.
