Turkey Point to St Thomas - Rural Ontario Bike Tour - Day 4 of 9
This video summarizes day 4 of my 9 day solo bicycle trip through South-Western Ontario, Canada. All of the clips in the video were filmed on Tuesday, May 22, 2018.
Starting at Turkey Point Provincial Park I headed north and went west along Charlotteville Road 1. Next I turned right and headed north along Charlotteville West Quarter Line which eventually merged with Highway 3 and took me into Delhi. After a quick snack in Delhi I headed west following Concession Road 1 North and Mall Road which took me into Tillsonburg. I then continued west along Hawkins Rd, and Ron McNeil Line. After stopping for lunch in Springfield, I continued west along College Line and Edgeware Line which took me into the city of St Thomas. My campground for the night was Dalewood Conservation Area. I big portion of the territory I rode through was within the Ontario Tobacco belt. I passed through the counties Norfolk, Oxford and Elgin
Strava for Day 4:
The bike I used for this trip is a New York made Linear Recumbent Bike which I believe is from around 2004. I carried my gear in 2 Giant Waterproof Panniers, and mounted my tent and sleeping pad on the top of the rack.

St Thomas to Alvinston - Rural Ontario Bike Tour - Day 5 of 9
This video summarizes day 5 of my 9 day solo bicycle trip through South-Western Ontario, Canada. All of the clips in the video were filmed on Wednesday, May 23, 2018.
Starting at Dalewood Conservation Area I headed north along Dalewood Rd then turned and headed west along Ron McNeil Line. From there I turned onto Wonderland Rd then headed southwest along Clinton Line, Longhurst Line, Stafford Line, 5 Gore Line and Shackleton. I turned and headed North West after reaching the community of Dutton along Currie Rd. Once I got to Duff Line I turned and headed South West through the community of Largie. After reaching Dunborough Road I turned again and headed North West and crossed over the Thames River where the road changed names to Simspon Rd. After a brief stretch heading South East along Longwoods Rd, I turned onto Dundonald Rd and continued North West. I stopped for lunch in Glencoe at Palace Family Restaurant, then continued along Dundonald until it changes names to Courtright Line and heads in the west direction. I made a right turn at Inwood Rd and passed through the community of Inwood where I stopped for a visit at the home of 1puglife from YouTube. I then traveled back East again along Shiloh Line which took me to my campground for the night at A.W. Campbell Conservation Area. After setting up my tent I headed into the community of Alvinston for dinner at Amour's Ale House. After dinner I did a nature walk around the lake trail at my campground.

Dalewood Reservoir Episode 4
After being on the trail for a few hours we finally complete it. What did we learn? Malcolm is defiantly not at the same level as Patrick and I (Chase) with the additional disadvantage of the oldest and heaviest bike in our group. As for myself we now know that I am a horrible judge of capability and should probably be the last person to ask when in need of guidance.
With the groups goal to get Malcolm as fit as Patrick and myself we might be able to do this trail again in the spring without even walking a single hill.
