The lake, held by an embankment, is fed mainly by monsoon rain pouring into a trough at the base of the Aravali hills.

Situated on the banks of #Damdamalake, The Blue Camp is the perfect escape. They've got cosy camps, host overnight gigs, BBQs and you can get away from the city without driving too far. They also offer a host of adventure activities like rope climbing, monkey crawl and more.

Today i'm going to damdama lake with my friend's located in gurgaon sohna road n lot's of enjoy this PICNIC SPOT.

Damdamaa reservoir in Sohna, district in the Indian state of Haryana. Damdama Lake is a small lake in Haryana and was formed when a stone and earthen dam constructed by the British was commissioned for rain water harvesting in 1947. The lake, held by an embankment, is fed mainly by monsoon rain pouring into a trough at the base of the Aravali hills. The Lake greets visitors with a water level down to 20 ft (6.1 m). During monsoon the water level reaches up to 50 ft (15 m) - 70 ft (21 m).

Damdama Lake fills a depression in the Aravalli hills which forms a striking backdrop to its placid waters. If you love boating you can enjoy  boating in Damdama Lake by Row Boats, Paddle Boats, Motor Boats . Damdama Lake is also good for adventure activities,One can enjoy rock climbing at Damdama Lake near the Aravalli Hills. Damdama lake provides ample scope for boating and if you are an avid rock climber, you will have ample scope to try out your skills in the difficult terrains of the Aravalli or on rock climbing walls made at adventure resorts.

As it is located in a hilly region, the topography of this area is not even. Damdama Lake is spread in the shape of an amoeba and has many branches. Dream Island adventure resort being right in the middle of the lake has a moderate climate and is good for a visit any time of the year. Best time to visit the lake is from October to March, late summers and monsoons. The climate is typically hot during summer, temperature reaching up to 45–47 °C.

But you’ll have to take a chance on it; we tried reaching out to a bunch of travel companies and Damdama lake specialists, but were told that boating is more of an ongoing activity. Well, no surprises there.

So if you’re tired of Old Fort, you could try your luck at Damdama; we’re sure you won’t be disappointed (if you’ve been, let us in on your experience in the comments).

हेलो दोस्तों दमदमा लेक बहुत ही अच्छी और बहुत ही सुंदर जगह है लेकिन अगर आप यहां पर मानसून के महीने में आते हैं. सितंबर से लेकर फरवरी लास्ट तक तो यहां पर पानी आपको मिल जाएगा और क्योंकि बारिश के मौसम में यहां पर पहाड़ों से पानी इकट्ठा हो जाता है हम लोग मई महीने मैं गए इसलिए पानी हमें बहुत ही कम मिला हां लेकिन राइडिंग के लिए आपको अच्छी जगह है पिकनिक कर सकते हैं आप इंजॉय कर सकते हैं बहुत ही अच्छा है restaurant ka khana खाना बहुत ही अच्छा है !

A short drive from #DamdamaLake , atop the Aravalli hills lies Sohna, the picturesque health-cum-holiday resort.

It is an important #biodiversity area within the Northern Aravalli leopard wildlife corridor stretching from Sariska Tiger Reserve to Delhi. Historical place around sanctuary are Badkhal Lake (6km northeast), 10th century ancient Surajkund reservoir (15 km north) and Anangpur Dam (16 km north), #Damdama Lake, Tughlaqabad Fort and Adilabad ruins (both in Delhi), Chhatarpur Temple (in Delhi). It is contiguous to the seasonal waterfalls in Pali-Dhuaj-Kot villages of Faridabad, the scared Mangar Bani and the Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary. There are several dozen lakes formed in the abandoned open pit mines in and around the area.
