De bronzen Jean-Claude Van Damme staat in Anderlecht.
Jean Claude Van Damme the Muscles from Brussels is in het brons vereeuwigd in Anderlecht.

Travels in Belgium Veurne | Cherishday

Travel Brussels, Belgium - Visit Grand Place in Brussels
Take a tour of Grand Place in Brussels, Belgium -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions travel video series by GeoBeats.
For centuries a bustling city market, the Grand Place is still the heart of Brussels.
Contrasting architectural styles belie its' thousand year history.
The Grand Place served as a functioning market as late as 1959.
Restored in the late 19th century, the opulent facades are breathtaking.
Gilded statues sit atop domed balconies.
At dusk the buildings light up spectacularly.
The most-visited spot in Brussels, the Grand Place is a Central European treasure.
Explore the town of Dinant, Belgium
This summer we explored the town of Dinant Belgium – Saxophones, Leffe beer, and the Dinant citadel.
How to get there? It took 2 hrs and 20 minutes from the north of France to Dinant Belgium by car.
Upon arrival, you can see all the structure of the old buildings and some renovated along the river.
The first thing we did was, we took a cruise for sightseeing on the river Meuse. We paid €9 for the adult and €7 for kids 3years and up. Luckily my two sons are free! ????
It took 45 minutes for sightseeing. You will see all the rocks, called Rocher Bayard. There's a legend between the separation of the rock.
Along the river and the center of the city, there's an old Collégiale Notre Dame de Dinant that was built many centuries.
This was only a one day trip with my family and we didn't have a chance to stroll all over the town. But I'm glad I've been in the city where the inventor of saxophone lives before.
That's all for today, see you in my next travel diary!
Hope you like our short tour!
Thanks for watching!
Ciao!

Bruges Busses - riding around town
A small network of buses operated by De Lijn (070 22 02 00; delijn.be in Flemish) covers destinations in and around Bruges. Most depart from De Lijn's information office on the square in front of the train station, and many stop at central locations such as 't Zand, Markt, Wollestraat and Biekorf on Kuipersstraat.
From the train station, buses 1, 3, 4, 11, 13, 14 and 16 head for the centre -- take any bus marked 'Centrum'.
A single ticket bought at De Lijn's information office costs €1.20 (or €1.50 on the bus), a dagpas (day ticket) is €5 (or €6 on the bus) and a 10-journey lijnkaart (network card) is €8 (€10 on the bus). A tweerittenkaart (two rides) costs €2 and can be used either for one journey by two people, or for two rides by one person. Buses run from 5.30am until about 11pm. On Friday and Saturday, limited night-bus services run from the centre to the suburbs (and to Damme) until 2am.

Bruges (Brugge) Trip - 2010
I visited Bruges in Belgium on my neat summer vacation. It's a great place to visit with lots to do! Enjoy!
Bruges is the capital and largest city of the province of West Flanders in the Flemish Region of Belgium. It is located in the northwest of the country. Bruges has most of its medieval architecture intact. The historic centre of Bruges has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000. Many of its medieval buildings are notable.
Bruges got its city charter on 27th July 1128 and new walls and canals were built. Since about 1050, gradual silting had caused the city to lose its direct access to the sea. A storm in 1134, however, re-established this access, through the creation of a natural channel at the Zwin. The new sea arm stretched all the way to Damme, a city that became the commercial outpost for Bruges.
