Da Nang, Vietnam ???? The FOOD, The SIGHTS & Trying to Surf
#vietnam #danang #travel
For this year’s Chuseok holiday, we shook things up and took a trip with Kyuho’s parents to Da Nang, Vietnam :) We simply wanted to enjoy a relaxing holiday together swimming at the beach, enjoying beautiful scenery, and eating food that OTHER people prepared for us—as Kyuho’s mom always does a ton of cooking during the holidays, so it was so nice to see her be able to kick back for a change. hIn this 'part 2' video, we swam and (attempted to) surf, enjoyed some INCREDIBLE Vietnamese food, and went to see the beautiful 'Lady Buddha' on Chuseok day. Da Nang is honestly one of the most gorgeous places we've ever been, and we'd love to go back someday soon!

Having a drive around Danang City - Vietnam
Danang City is beautiful and cleaner than other cities around Vietnam, easy to wondering around. The city is not large therefore it doesn’t take too long to make a loop around. It has many bridges crossing the Han River. Here is a short video from Danang City in November 2019 when I was there.

Tips for vietnam (Danang & Hoi An)
1. for currency exchange, use $100 to exchange because they have a bigger value.
2. any watts work with Vietnam; if you live in the US, or Korea, both plugs will work.
3. when taking a taxi, do not take random ones that look like Uber. Take taxis with numbers on it
4. if you are staying in a hotel or a resort, and you want to grab a taxi, please tell the front desk so they can arrange the ride for you. otherwise, weird taxi drivers will take advantage of you.
5. When you arrive at vietnam (DAD airport), buy a sim card. You will get unlimited data for only $7! (1 week)
6. people here are quite nice. when buying products are the market, negotiate with them!
7. Traffic system is bad in Vietnam. Please watch out for motorcycles and cars! they do not have traffic lights so you will hear lots of beeping.
8. because there are many motorcyclists, it’s easy to get your bags snatched so always watch out!
9. Do not wear sneakers. although sneakers can be comfortable, it is hot in vietnam and birkenstocks will be the best shoes to wear around.
10. WATER IS NOT FREE. At the restaurant, if you ask for water, they will charge you!!
11. majority places will only take CASH.

Danang to Hoi An | Vietnam
Today started with an early morning motorbike ride outside the city of Danang. Jeff took me to the local fishing village to watch them bring in their catch, and then we drove to an 800 year old tree!
Next, Jeff and Nancy were nice enough to drive us to Hoi An so we didn't have to take the public bus. We tried out a couple different coffee shops together before they headed back to Danang.
We spent the rest of the day walking, shopping, and eating in the ancient city of Hoi An.

Renting a Scooter in Da Nang 2018 - Travel Vietnam
Now that we have our licenses and protective gear, it was time to go rent a scooter here in Da Nang. We are only wanting a rental bike for one month, so we weren't fussed if it was a Honda, Yamaha or any other brand, so long as it runs, everything works as it should and that it has enough power to cart the two of us around to our next adventures in Da Nang and its surrounding areas.
Let us know what you think of our new ride in the comments :)
We'd love it if you liked and shared this video, so others who haven't yet heard of us, also get a chance to share in the experience. Thanks :)

We are Leon and Tash, a New Zealand vlogging couple who set off on an amazing Vietnam adventure as fulltime travellers, backpacking Vietnam. But we weren't going to travel to Vietnam for one of those ordinary backpacking Vietnam trips you hear about everybody doing, where they go for a couple off weeks and check out the beaches or maybe riding through Vietnam at such a crazy pace that they never get off the beaten track. No we want more than that.
Our Vietnam adventures start with learning the way of the locals, taking just enough time to figure out how things work, discover what the Must see places in Vietnam are and more importantly where Vietnam's hidden gems are...
To do this, we moved to Danang Vietnam. The plan was to spend 3 months living in Da Nang, meeting and learning from locals about the culture, the amazing food, their way of living and what places they would recommend to travel in Vietnam.
And because Danang is in the middle of the country, we hoped we might meet other tourists or expats who were having their own Vietnam travel adventure or were at the halfway point of motorcycle riding through Vietnam and hear from them, what places they thought we must visit in Vietnam. Also, as new travel vloggers, having a base there meant we could try things like doing Da Nang Vietnam travel vlog or creating a Danang Vietnam travel guide, before also taking on the stresses of fulltime travel.
Then in month 4, that's when the real Vietnam adventure begins. With our new list of must see places, we will head to Saigon and buy a couple of motorbikes. to start our Vietnam road trip!
Motorcycle riding through Vietnam seems like one of the most hectic, crazy and chaotic things anyone could do, but we can't wait!! And we wont be following a simple South to North / Saigon to Hanoi route, we plan on doing more like a figure 8, so that our travel in Vietnam will cover both the inland and coastal areas of this amazing country.
So can we still say we are backpacking Vietnam? Or should we be telling people our travel in Vietnam is a motorcycle trip through Vietnam? We're not sure, but what we do know is, our Vietnam road trip is going to cover over 6000km's from Saigon right up to the famous waterfalls of Ban Gioc near Cao Bang, round the northern point of the Ha Giang loop and everything else we can access in between. So we hope you'll join us, the New Zealand vlogging couple, on our Vietnam adventure by clicking subscribe to join the Tribe and experience our travel in Vietnam..

The Best Hotels In Da Nang, Vietnam. Top 9 most popular Danang hotels
Da Nang, Vietnam’s fifth largest city, has no shortage of hotels catering to different travelers’ needs. In fact, it can be a little difficult for firsT time visitors to decide where to stay, given the abundance of options. Here are nine hotels and resorts in Da Nang that are a cut above the rest

Naman Retreat, located on a beach roughly halfway between Da Nang and ancient Hoi An, is five-star resort that promises a thoroughly relaxing and calming stay away from the bustle of the city center. Spend a day (or a week) at Naman Retreat’s Pure Spa, which offers multi-day wellness programs in addition to the usual spa treatments, or indulge at one of their four beautifully designed, bamboo-clad restaurants and bars. Guests have the option of staying the spacious Babylon Rooms, which come with private balconies and luxurious fittings, or in the large pool and beach villas. Service is detailed and personalized, and you can request anything from a personal DJ to hiking trips in the surrounding countryside.
This boutique hotel in the Son Tra district of Da Nang offers a great combination of comfortable, stylish rooms with convenient location. Sofia Hotel is a mere five minutes away from the beach, and surrounded by all the amenities of the city. Although the decor is simple, and the facilities are typical of a three-star hotel, Sofia Hotel shines thanks to its excellent service – the friendly staff speak decent English and will accommodate requests for anything from special breakfast items to arranging a private car for sightseeing
At the five-star Fusion Maia Da Nang, there are no ordinary hotel rooms, only private pool villas which come all-inclusive with daily spa treatments. To add to that feeling of total relaxation, breakfast is served any time you wish – whether at sunrise, or even in the evening. The food and drinks on offer in the dining room and bar are a fusion of traditional local ingredients and international flavors. A shuttle bus to Hoi An makes this a great location from which to explore both towns
For a more athletic spin on the usual beachside experience, head to The Ocean Villas, another great resort on the coast between Da Nang and Hoi An. The Da Nang Golf Club is right next door, and boasts one of the world’s best new golf courses, a driving range, shop, and professional training studios. The resort itself offers a beach club with canoes, windsurfing boards and other watersports equipment for hire, as well as a tennis court. Cool down after a day of activity at the fusion White Caps Restaurant. Guests can choose to stay in one- to five-bedroom villas
Samdi Hotel has one of the best locations of any Da Nang hotel – right in the middle of the city on the lively Nguyen Van Linh Street, but also only a few minutes away from the beach and airport. There are a wide range of accommodations, including standard rooms (ideal for business travelers), fully-equipped apartments, and the spacious Samdi Studios. The centerpiece of the hotel is the lavish 19th floor pool and bar, where guests can lounge or swim under a massive skylight.
Part of the Intercontinental group, the Danang Sun Peninsula Resort is a hillside resort on Son Tra Peninsula, northwest of the city. The resort is a magnificent sight from afar, with its Vietnamese-influenced white buildings scattered across the lush, green hillside. The elegant design details continue inside, with lattice-framed mirrors, traditional architectural elements carved from dark wood, and sleek modern furniture. Expect to enjoy the high standard of service of a typical Intercontinental hotel, but in an exceptional setting, with almost every room enjoying panoramic ocean views
A stay at Chu Hotel is perfect for travelers looking for a clean, comfortable space in the city – a no-frills but also worry-free accommodation experience, with everything you need. The rooms are bright, airy, and smartly decorated, and the larger ones come with views of the ocean and nearby Son Tra Peninsula.

Walking in Da Nang Beach Vietnam Early Time.
With a coastline of 35km long from Hai Van Pass to Non Nuoc, Da nang is one of the most beautiful coastal cities in Vietnam. Closed to the city center (5km), the most popular beach My Khe is the common name of the coastline lasted 10km from the base of the Son Tra Peninsula to the Marble Mountains (Ngu Hanh Son). It's just 5km to get here from Da Nang city center and 25km from Hoi My Khe Beach is famous for its blue sky, smooth white sand, gentle slope, clear & warm water year round and beautiful areas surrounded by coconut trees. Everything around you is peaceful, natural, relaxing, that's why Forbes Magazine selected My Khe beach as “one of the most attractive beaches on the planet” title. This recognition was given after an endless effort of the government and the Da Nang Lifesaving Association in keeping the beach clean, safety for visitors, free admission for tourists, great accommodations...etc. Moreover, My Khe beach was commended as one of 10 most popular beaches in Asia by The Sunday Herald Sun of Australia.An.
The lack of large waves, warm water year round and an average of 60 meter wide beach area, My Khe Beach is an ideal and safe place for both adults and children to swim at any time of year. My Khe also offers magnificent sunrise scenery so try to stay close to the beach to enjoy the stunning view right from your room.
Alongside the stretch of golden sand are luxurious hotels, restaurants and world class beachfront resorts. Less about the amazing quality of the beach itself but the surroundings, atmosphere and charming accomodation are the main factors that attract tourists, both Vietnamese and international.
