Trip to Da Nang (Vietnam) Vlog: $3000 villa tour, detailed tour guide, Jet Ski, rooftop bar
Hey guys, Welcome back!

Scroll down for more detailed info about what I ate and where I went!
Thanks for watching

Tips for vietnam (Danang & Hoi An)
1. for currency exchange, use $100 to exchange because they have a bigger value.
2. any watts work with Vietnam; if you live in the US, or Korea, both plugs will work.
3. when taking a taxi, do not take random ones that look like Uber. Take taxis with numbers on it
4. if you are staying in a hotel or a resort, and you want to grab a taxi, please tell the front desk so they can arrange the ride for you. otherwise, weird taxi drivers will take advantage of you.
5. When you arrive at vietnam (DAD airport), buy a sim card. You will get unlimited data for only $7! (1 week)
6. people here are quite nice. when buying products are the market, negotiate with them!
7. Traffic system is bad in Vietnam. Please watch out for motorcycles and cars! they do not have traffic lights so you will hear lots of beeping.
8. because there are many motorcyclists, it’s easy to get your bags snatched so always watch out!
9. Do not wear sneakers. although sneakers can be comfortable, it is hot in vietnam and birkenstocks will be the best shoes to wear around.
10. WATER IS NOT FREE. At the restaurant, if you ask for water, they will charge you!!
11. majority places will only take CASH.
Our Vietnam plan

Vietnam Sleeper Train from Da Nang to Nha Trang
I took the sleeper train from Da Nang to Nha Trang and want to share the experience to help out fellow travelers.
The 524 kilometre journey takes around 10 hours... or sometimes 11... just depending on your luck.
We decided to take the train over a plane for the experience. Although flying would have been much faster we thought this would be a great way to take in some of Vietnam's countryside.
And, we figured it would be best to do that during the day.
Taking the train at night is a solid option though. You won't have to write-off an entire day from your travel plans and it'll be one less night of paying for accommodation.
There are 4 types of seats on this train:
1. Hard seat
2. Soft seat
3. Hard berth (6 berths) with the top bunks being the cheapest
4. Soft berth (4 berths) all bunks are priced the same
Take the 4 berths.
Pillows and blankets are provided in the sleepers (which looked relatively clean).
On our train, people came by offering light snacks throughout the trip and a meal was served for lunch - everything was reasonably priced.

The Best Hotels In Da Nang, Vietnam. Top 9 most popular Danang hotels
Da Nang, Vietnam’s fifth largest city, has no shortage of hotels catering to different travelers’ needs. In fact, it can be a little difficult for firsT time visitors to decide where to stay, given the abundance of options. Here are nine hotels and resorts in Da Nang that are a cut above the rest

Naman Retreat, located on a beach roughly halfway between Da Nang and ancient Hoi An, is five-star resort that promises a thoroughly relaxing and calming stay away from the bustle of the city center. Spend a day (or a week) at Naman Retreat’s Pure Spa, which offers multi-day wellness programs in addition to the usual spa treatments, or indulge at one of their four beautifully designed, bamboo-clad restaurants and bars. Guests have the option of staying the spacious Babylon Rooms, which come with private balconies and luxurious fittings, or in the large pool and beach villas. Service is detailed and personalized, and you can request anything from a personal DJ to hiking trips in the surrounding countryside.
This boutique hotel in the Son Tra district of Da Nang offers a great combination of comfortable, stylish rooms with convenient location. Sofia Hotel is a mere five minutes away from the beach, and surrounded by all the amenities of the city. Although the decor is simple, and the facilities are typical of a three-star hotel, Sofia Hotel shines thanks to its excellent service – the friendly staff speak decent English and will accommodate requests for anything from special breakfast items to arranging a private car for sightseeing
At the five-star Fusion Maia Da Nang, there are no ordinary hotel rooms, only private pool villas which come all-inclusive with daily spa treatments. To add to that feeling of total relaxation, breakfast is served any time you wish – whether at sunrise, or even in the evening. The food and drinks on offer in the dining room and bar are a fusion of traditional local ingredients and international flavors. A shuttle bus to Hoi An makes this a great location from which to explore both towns
For a more athletic spin on the usual beachside experience, head to The Ocean Villas, another great resort on the coast between Da Nang and Hoi An. The Da Nang Golf Club is right next door, and boasts one of the world’s best new golf courses, a driving range, shop, and professional training studios. The resort itself offers a beach club with canoes, windsurfing boards and other watersports equipment for hire, as well as a tennis court. Cool down after a day of activity at the fusion White Caps Restaurant. Guests can choose to stay in one- to five-bedroom villas
Samdi Hotel has one of the best locations of any Da Nang hotel – right in the middle of the city on the lively Nguyen Van Linh Street, but also only a few minutes away from the beach and airport. There are a wide range of accommodations, including standard rooms (ideal for business travelers), fully-equipped apartments, and the spacious Samdi Studios. The centerpiece of the hotel is the lavish 19th floor pool and bar, where guests can lounge or swim under a massive skylight.
Part of the Intercontinental group, the Danang Sun Peninsula Resort is a hillside resort on Son Tra Peninsula, northwest of the city. The resort is a magnificent sight from afar, with its Vietnamese-influenced white buildings scattered across the lush, green hillside. The elegant design details continue inside, with lattice-framed mirrors, traditional architectural elements carved from dark wood, and sleek modern furniture. Expect to enjoy the high standard of service of a typical Intercontinental hotel, but in an exceptional setting, with almost every room enjoying panoramic ocean views
A stay at Chu Hotel is perfect for travelers looking for a clean, comfortable space in the city – a no-frills but also worry-free accommodation experience, with everything you need. The rooms are bright, airy, and smartly decorated, and the larger ones come with views of the ocean and nearby Son Tra Peninsula.

City Description:
Da Nang is a coastal city in central Vietnam known for its sandy beaches and history as a French colonial port. It's a popular base for visiting the inland Bà Nà hills to the west of the city. Here the hillside Hải Vân Pass has views of Da Nang Bay and the Marble Mountains. These 5 limestone outcrops are topped with pagodas and hide caves containing Buddhist shrines. The Mỹ Khê, Mỹ An and Non Nước beaches – collectively known as “China Beach” by U.S. servicemen – are home to upscale resorts, and Non Nước also has a stone-carvers’ village. Colorfully lit bridges span the Hàn River, and the Dragon Bridge breathes fire and water from its mouth on weekends. The Museum of Cham Sculpture houses 5th–15th-century Hindu carvings. At Han Market, shoppers can buy silk paintings and local street food specialties, including the city's signature mi quang noodle dish. On the forested Sơn Trà peninsula are the Lady Buddha Da Nang statue and Linh Ứng Bai But Pagoda with sweeping views across the sea and city.
Weather and Events:
Da Nang's climate is tropical, and the majority of visitors come Feb–Aug, which is the dry season. Monsoons are possible during the rainy season (Sep–Jan). Popular events include Tết, or Vietnamese New Year (Jan/Feb, dates vary); the riverside International Fireworks Competition (Apr); and the Goddess of Mercy Festival (dates vary), focused on religious rituals and parades.

Bar crawl Danang plus arrival at Hoi An resort - Danang, Hoi An, Vietnam
I embarked on my mini bar crawl north of the dragon bridge in down town Danang. I made the fatal flaw of arriving too early. Many of the bars were just opening and customers were thin on the ground. I saw no evidence of bar girls. Maybe they started work later or may be central Vietnam is more conservative than the decadent south? I return to Bamboo 2 bar which is the most lively at that early hour. Next morning I take a Grab bike to my next booking near Hoi An. Only set me back 110,000 dong (A$7) for a 30K journey. I checked out the resort's private beach while I waited for my room to become available. I also grabbed a free push bike and explored the surrounding area.
