Danceland, Home of the Floating Dance Floor in Manitou Beach, Saskatchewan
Constructed in 1928, Danceland is an amazing building with a rich history. Its world famous dance floor has coils of horse hair under it, which allows it to float and move with large groups of people on it. It continues to be a very popular dance hall, as well as a facility that is highly sought after to host weddings and events.
Music lovers hope to save iconic dance hall
Music lovers are hoping to save Danceland, an iconic Saskatchewan spot perched beside Little Manitou Lake near Watrous, Sask. Years ago, it was a hot summer vacation spot. Today, it needs costly repairs just to keep it going.

Danceland Takes You Back in Time in Saskatchewan
Danceland was built in 1928 and is home to North America's only remaining dance floor padded with horse hair. It is an authentic step back in time and Vacay.ca's Adrian Brijbassi made that trip.
