Hwa Nan Womens College is a private three year college with 2800 students. Upwards to 14 Foreign Teachers teach English at the college each year. Qiqihar is the economic, cultural, scientific and commercial center of the west of Heilongjiang Province. It is a charismatic city, and also an excellent tourist city in China. It has the reputation of the capital of Chinese green food.
It is a cultural city with a history of more than 800 years. What’s more, it is one of the first old industrial bases built by the country. There is not only the first heavy machinery factory, praised by Premier Zhou Enlai as “national treasure”, and the first and second machine tool factories in Qiqihar, but also the three largest military production enterprises that have made outstanding contributions to the development of China. The Green Food Expo in Qiqihar and the cultural tourism festival in Guandong city have gathered a large number of Chinese and foreign businessmen every year and have injected new vitality into the economic development. There are several natural and cultural scenic spots such as Mingyue island, Longsha Park, Wildlife Park, Navy Hot Springs, General Mansion of Heilongjiang, and the site of the Anti Japanese war in Jiangqiao. Among them, Zhalong Nature Reserve is the largest waterfowl and Bird Nature Reserve in the country and has the reputation of China's great wetland and the home of crane. Therefore, Qiqihar is also known as Hecheng(it means the city of crane).

These 80 years of history of the Party prove that only the communist Party can lead China through its construction and to victory. No other political Party can replace the Chinese Communist Party. It is irreplacable. The multi-party system cannot work in China.

STORYLINE:
Security was tight on Tiananmen Square in downtown Beijing on Sunday morning as hundreds of Chinese onlookers gathered to watch the traditional early morning raising of the national flag.
But Sunday was a special day in the history of China and in the minds of Chinese people throughout the world.
It was on this day 80 years ago that the Chinese communist Party was founded in the central city of Shanghai.
From a handful of followers, the CCP went on to gather the biggest ever number of members under a single politcal banner.
Not only did the Party and its leaders change the faith and face of their country, it also provided an example and a model for many revolutions and political movements around the world.
But opening China to global capitalism was hardly what Mao Tse-tung and 11 other revolutionaries had in mind when they met secretly in 1921 to create a party that would rid China of foreign colonizers and build a workers' paradise.
As the nation marks the 80th anniversary of that meeting today, the world's largest communist party is trumpeting two decades of capitalist-style market reforms as its crowning achievement - and with no hint of irony.
With a birthday propaganda blitz in China's wholly state-run media, the party is seeking anew to convince Chinese that it deserves credit for raising living standards and should remain in power.
A flurry of official gatherings has been held throughout the nation to mark the anniversary.
In Beijing itself, two major exhibitions are taking place retracing the history of the Communist Party through pictures and historical artifacts.
With 64.5 (m) million members, the party is bigger than ever.
But it also faces many challenges.

From the early 1930s to the late 1950s, northern Korea and Northeast China shared a common path of interconnected industrial development, first under the Japanese Empire and then as part of a Soviet-led socialist regional order. The state-led, heavy industry-oriented economic development of this period created lasting consequences on both sides of the Sino-Korean border: by the 1980s, Northeast China had become a de-industrialized rust belt, and in the 1990s North Korea collapsed into famine. The harsh environmental legacies of this industrialization are still felt today. This talk explores the intertwined histories of industrialization, de-industrialization, and nascent re-integration between North Korea and Northeast China from the 1930s to the present, with a focus on the middle decades of the twentieth century.

Tianjin ([tʰjɛ́n.tɕín] (listen)), formerly romanized as Tientsin, is a coastal metropolis in northern China and one of the nine national central cities of the People's Republic of China (PRC), with a total population of 15,469,500, and is also the world's 11th-most populous city proper. It is governed as one of the four municipalities under the direct administration of central government of the PRC and is thus under direct administration of the central government. Tianjin borders Hebei Province and Beijing Municipality, bounded to the east by the Bohai Gulf portion of the Yellow Sea. Part of the Bohai Economic Rim, it is the largest coastal city in northern China.
In terms of urban population, Tianjin is the fourth largest in China, after Shanghai, Beijing, and Guangzhou. In terms of administrative area population, Tianjin ranks fifth in Mainland China. The walled city of Tianjin was built in 1404. As a treaty port since 1860, Tianjin has been a major seaport and gateway to Beijing. During the Boxer Rebellion the city was the seat of the Tianjin Provisional Government. Under the Qing dynasty and the Republic of China, Tianjin became one of the largest cities in the region. At that time, numerous European-style buildings and mansions were constructed in concessions, many of which are well-preserved today. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Tianjin suffered a depression due to the policy of the central government and Tangshan earthquake, but recovered from 1990s. Nowadays Tianjin is a dual-core city, with its main urban area (including the old city) located along the Hai River, which connects to the Yellow and Yangtze Rivers via the Grand Canal; and Binhai, a New Area urban core located east of the old city, on the coast of the Bohai Gulf. As of the end of 2010, around 285 Fortune 500 companies have set up base in Binhai.
