2017-10-04 #2 Wildatlanticway Cliffs of Moher
2017-10-04 Cliffs of Moher
It is the most visited natural attraction in Ireland – the cliffs of moher . This trip I booked with Darby O’Gill for 30€. We drove 3,5 h from Dublin in the direction of Galway . But the Cliffs are not directly in Galway. They are located in the Bureen Nationalpark and rise 214 meters at the highest point. Furthermore it has a range of 12 km .you could see from the cliffs the Aran islands, galway bay,the maum Turk mountains in Connemara and Loop head to the South, but unfortunately it was a misty, dizzy, rainy and windy day today and I couldn’t see anything That’s why I couldn’t see birds or dolphins either. Here my recommendation: If you will travel after summer to the Cliffs take a warm rain jacket, a hat and a scarf with you. I did it and I am glad , that most of my body feel warm and isn’t wet.
The Cliffs look beautiful and it is also a place to feel free . The moment when you walk nearby the edge ( be very careful please. If it is muddy on rainy days and the strong wind blows you can relocate very fast) feels amazing. Under you the water spreads towards the cliffs and the bottom is characterized by various green seagras and different kinds of stone . Besides are meadows with cows scuffing gras. Nothing more is to mention, although I have to add, that this ‘rock’ formed by sand and mud about 320 million years ago, embodies whole nature and independence .
Feel it for yourself on a walking tour at the cliffs of moher .
Giant's Causeway + Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge Day Trip IRELAND
I booked a tour with Viator to visit Giant's Causeway and the Rope Bridge. We began in Dublin and drove in a very large and comfortable bus.
The causeway has a really nice visitor center and then it's about a 15 minute walk to the basalt columns. You can walk or take a small bus for about 1.50 euro one way.
The rope bridge is pretty fun, it's about 30-40 meters above the sea. It's not scary but a lot of people get frightened.

The Quiet Leprechaun and the Travelling Man
(with optional English subtitles und Deutsch Untertitel)
In a quiet corner of Ireland there lives a man called Sean, who shares his humble wee cottage, 'White O Morn' with his fiery red-headed wife – Mary-Kate. One sunny day, Sean's friend, Michaeleen comes a visiting. There is also another unexpected visitor on that sunny Irish day, a devious Leprechaun called King Shamus, who tempts Sean back on the booze. That red-headed woman of Sean's catches him necking a bottle of Guinness and he's soon out on his ear.
Sean, Michaeleen and King Shamus set off travelling around Ireland, meeting some strange and interesting characters on the way and with a song and a bit of Irish dancing thrown in for good luck.
Inspired by the classic film 'The Quiet Man'
