Cave Tubing in Ancient Mayan Cave - Belize Diaries Part 5
Welcome back to Brian and Cindy's Adventures. We are going cave tubing in Nohoch Che'en Arachaeological Park in Belize. We have gone from Caye Caulker and rode a ferry back to Belize City where we met one of our guides, Gustavo. He works with Major Tom who is hired by Tsunami Adventures. He was like our cabby plus a tour guide all in one. We did not have to put out any extra money except tipped a little to show our gratitude. The park entrance is $10 BZD if you go on your own. The tour guides are all knowledgeable and kind which made the experience all the better. Hope you enjoy our video!

Long time no see!
My birthday was August 25th, so this year (2016), I took a tiny bresk last week and my fiancé brought me to Ambergris Caye, San Pedro, Belize to celebrate. I really wanted to travel someplace where I could relax and do a lot of outdoor activities, so this little island couldn’t have been more perfect. We stayed at the Cocotal Inn & Cabanas for one week swimming every single day and also snuck in some kayaking, snorkeling in the Hol Chan Marine Reserve, swimming with sharks in Shark Ray Alley, hiking the Xunantunich Mayan Ruins, and cave tubing in Belmopan. I was almost eaten to death by mosquitos, but I can honestly say that Belize is probably the most naturally beautiful place I’ve ever been to. There was so much to do and see, I put together a travel guide/travel diary of my birthday trip. Hope you enjoy watching as much as I did making this video! xx Audrie

// ABOUT ME //
A little bit about me - I'm a content creator on Instagram, YouTube, and on my blog at AudrieStorme.com living in Orange County, California (originally from the San Francisco Bay Area). I started posting outfit of the day (OOTD) photos on Instagram about two years ago when I was living in Dallas, Texas for work. I loved taking photos and posting on Instagram so much that I decided to expand and try out YouTube and blogging as well.
When I was living in the city, my personal style was a bit more streetwear 90's grunge, but now that I live in Southern California and closer to the ocean, my style has become a lot more cozy and comfortable with a lot of bohemian influences.
If I had to describe my fashion sense on my blog, Instagram aesthetic, and YouTube editing style now, I'd probably describe it as modern bohemian with an edge, since I tend to wear and do things that might be considered unconventional to others. I'm not sure if that is true, but since I've moved back to California, I just find that I gravitate to what is easiest and effortless for me while living near the beach where it always feels like summer.
Thank you so much for stopping by my YouTube channel and I hope that you enjoy what you'll find here! I love fashion, beauty (especially hair styling and bohemian braids), DIY projects and how to videos, making travel diaries of all the places that I'm lucky enough to visit, and sharing my (for lack of a better term) modern bohemian lifestyle. If you'd like to see more, please feel free to subscribe to my channel. Hope to see you in the comments below!
With love,
Audrie

Adventure & Conservation in Mexico & Belize
A highlight reel from my solo trip to Mexico & Belize in May 2014. Making this has taken way longer than I'd like, but deciding what to cut from this epic trip has been a tough choice. There's so much more stuff that just couldn't fit into 3.5 minutes.
The trip started in Cancun with a visit to the Chichen Itza and some cliff diving into Cenote Ik Kil. After a day on the beach, it was time to take my Advanced Open Water diving certification. Alfredo from Luum-Ha divers was a great teacher and friend, and put me at ease from the beginning. As well as the skills I needed to demonstrate on the dives, we managed some memorable events such as my first wreck, my first swim-through, and a day trip out to Cozumel.
(0:49) After leveling up, I went down to Tulum to dive in some of the cenotes there. A day trip to Dos Ojos was spectular, if a little intimidating. Fresh water is quite a different beast from salt water, and controlling buoyancy while in caverns in the dark isn't for the faint of heart! Both dives were incredible, though surfacing mid-dive the Bat Cave was really special.
(1:05) After Tulum, it was a terrifying, turbulent flight on a Cessna Caravan (single propeller plan, with 4 people on it) to Belize to meet the other volunteers for the WCS turtle conservation program I'd signed up to do. After meeting in Dangriga, we took a tiny boat in the morning for a 2 hour journey to Glover's Reef. Breathtaking, and tiny, this was our home for the next week, where we spent every day out free diving to catch turtles. Primarily we were looking for larger Hawksbill turtles, but we also caught one Green turtle too. The turtles were each tagged with a GPS transmitter to better understand where the turtles in this area of Belize migrate to when they reach adulthood. After the serious stuff was over, we got some diving in. We spotted a nurse shark from a distance, but the most memorable part of this dive was the remora that really wanted to attach itself to one of us and followed us for the whole dive!
(2:09) After Glover's Reef it was on to San Pedro in Belize for a few last days of diving and relaxation before heading home. This is where I got my first up-close encounter with a nurse shark, hung out with some green turtles while they were eating and chilling out, glimpsed an eagle ray, but more memorable than any of that, came face to face with a manatee.
Thanks to everyone that made this trip special, including the WCS, staff and volunteers, Alfredo, Fernando, Paty, my trusty GoPro, and that inquisitive manatee.

I make a short video in Belize City about why I believe it is worth seeing when one visits Belize. It represents a country in the infancy of independence and all that is good and bad in these early stages.

2 weeks in Belize 2014 | GoPro 3
In June 2014, my 3 girlfriends and I stayed in Belize for two weeks. We rented a car and drove along the coast in that period, staying in a mix of hostels, cabanas and hotels. Here is footage from our adventures!
The footage was taken with a GoPro 3. You will see that the footage on land is great. The underwater footage is mediocre and somewhat blurry, compared to my new GoPro 3+, where underwater footage is exceptionally clearer in my other videos.
