Band practice - Lawrenceburg Tennessee
I was on a photo shoot in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee when I heard this little band practicing in the gazebo in the center of the town square. I love to shoot in big cities, and in small towns, because I never know what experiences I'll uncover.
I don't know the musicians, but if anyone does, please let me know so I can credit them.

SUMMARY
=======
David Crockett (August 17, 1786 – March 6, 1836) was an American folk hero, frontiersman, soldier, and politician. He is commonly referred to in popular culture by the epithet King of the Wild Frontier. He represented Tennessee in the U.S. House of Representatives and served in the Texas Revolution.
Crockett grew up in East Tennessee, where he gained a reputation for hunting and storytelling. He was made a colonel in the militia of Lawrence County, Tennessee and was elected to the Tennessee state legislature in 1821. In 1827, he was elected to the U.S. Congress where he vehemently opposed many of the policies of President Andrew Jackson, especially the Indian Removal Act. Crockett's opposition to Jackson's policies led to his defeat in the 1831 elections. He was re-elected in 1833, then narrowly lost in 1835, prompting his angry departure to Texas (then the Mexican state of Tejas) shortly thereafter. In early 1836, he took part in the Texas Revolution and was killed at the Battle of the Alamo in March.
Crockett became famous during his lifetime for larger-than-life exploits popularized by stage plays and almanacs. After his death, he continued to be credited with acts of mythical proportion. These led in the 20th century to television and movie portrayals, and he became one of the best-known American folk heroes.

June 2017 - Old Stone Fort, Manchester TN - Megalithic site's river AKA Indian Mounds
This is is the beautiful river and waterfalls surrounding the Old Stone Fort park in Manchester, TN. We had a fabulous hike today with Daisy the wonder dog and spent time with our feet in the river. Tried out my telescoping hiking poles and they really help me. I'm just a little wobbly from hip and ankle injuries, and they make all the difference on rough trails. Now archaeologists consider this a 2,000 year old Indian site - 1.5 miles of circular rock wall but it's listed also as a Megalithic Site (because the native Americans found this place and saw it's strategic advantage, but the site was built far earlier) There isn't much to photograph regarding the hike, except that it was tree lined and beautiful with frightening cliff drop offs. I highly recommend the poles, and sturdy footgear. There is a campground attached to this park with full hook-ups, we saw 30 and 50 amp vehicles..it's wooded and each spot looks very nice. About $25.00 a night I believe. We are definitely coming back here. I plan to chill again in this river!
