RAF Davidstow - Visit 2014
Once I've travelled in many places in Cornwall and many military installations owned to the MOD, RAF and Army. Davidstow is one of them, one of my favourites to visit because of the space, the grown trees, the moors of Bodmin. What I known of the history is that RAF Davidstow Moor is a former Royal Air Force station located 2.9 miles (4.7 km) north east of Camelford, Cornwall and 11.5 miles (18.5 km) west of Launceston, Cornwall, England. In it's intense activity was one of Coastal Command's lesser used airfields until it was closed down in 1945, later opened up as a F1 Race track in the 1950's. More detail about the airfield -
RAF Davidstow Moor
RAF Davidstow Moor, RAF Davidstow or Davidstow Airfield is an abandoned World War II RAF base near the village of Davidstow in Cornwall.
The RAF base opened in 1942 and closed in 1945 but was used again from the early 1950's to 1954 when it was a Motor Car Circuit. There are three runways and a road which goes across it.
Some of the most famous planes that were stationed at RAF Davidstow Moor were the Lockenheed Hudson and the Bristol Beaufighter.
Around 200 soldiers died on Bodmin Moor in WWII and the airfield and control tower are said to be haunted by the ghosts of the soldiers who died. People have heard planes but look up and see none. People have also heard people talking and footsteps when no one is around, people have felt sad and like they can never come back and people have even been touched and pushed by people who aren't there.

Odd bangs at RAF Davidstow, Cornwall
We took a short break in our investigation of the control tower at RAF Davidstow, and went to our cars for a much needed coffee and warm up.
Whilst we were all sat in our cars the audio recorders left running in the building picked up these unexplained banging noises.
No one had entered the building, and our motion sensors detected no movement.
Listening via headphones is recommended
