This year marks 50 years of the museum at the Knowle, a Georgian house at the rear of the main car park in Dawlish. With 11 rooms over 3 floors there's lots to see and do with even more this year for the little ones.

Ride one of the last HST's along the iconic Dawlish Sea Wall.
HST intercity 125 express train Dawlish Sea Wall Devon UK - Window View Teign to Exe.
GWT kindly provided us with an open 1st class ticket so we could take as many trips on a HST as we liked between Exeter and Plymouth with our big 4K cameras so we can bring you an open window view from one of the last HST's.
We travelled along the Teign estuary, along Teignmouth sea wall, Dawlish sea wall and finally up the Exe estuary towards Exeter.
We have been waiting to do this for a while but waited for good weather.

Dawlish Museum Opens For 2012 Season.
Dawlish museum opening for the new season ,on the 28th April, 2012.Highlights include a performance by the Westcliff School choir,Piper Bill Millins son John playing the pipes and the official opening by Dawlish Mayor, Councillor John Petherick.
Among other new displays this year is a celebration of the Queens Diamond Jubilee,a matchstick model and tribute to the Centenary of the Titanic and a re-vamped Victorian kitchen.

Dawlish Museum was opened by long standing volunteer Mavis Stuckey and Piper Bills son,John Millin ,on Saturday the 26th of April,2014.Over a 100 pipers from 4 pipe bands marched past the museum down to The Lawn and went on to perform an excellent concert despite the persistent rain.New this year among many others is a tribute to a Dawlish man who fought in the first World War and a new display covering all aspects of the recent storm and the rail repairs.Check out their website for more details -
